I'm looking for some advice from you lovely lot
Our hotel budget for our honeymoon is £1000. We have 10 nights in Vegas 6th to 16th September.
Happy to split the trip over 2 or 3 hotels or stay in same one the whole trip. Had a look at prices but it's at least £1300 for strip hotels. I have looked at MGM, NY NY, Paris, PH etc
I didn't fancy any of the older (decor wise) hotels like IP, Flamingo, Ballys etc but perhaps some of you could make some suggestions? Or am I expecting too much for our budget?
Thanks in advance x0 -

I love changing hotels have you looked at maybe staying down freemont st for the weekend I've always found this a great way of stretching the budget as weekend prices much better that end, check out El Cortez Cabana suites if you fancy something flash and modern0 -
Thanks guys. The rate almost doubles for 14th & 15th sept & it turns out Adam Ant is in town that weekend.
I've no idea who he is, but he must be popular.
I have stayed at MGM & Encore in 2010 & would ideally like to try some where new. May book the MGM once I've checked the cancellation policy
Thanks again0 -

This made me giggle so much - in a good way.
I know who Adam Ant is (he is British, I'm surprised he's not better known, but maybe you are much younger than me) I was going to marry him at one point in my life...I assure you that Adam Ant being in town at the Hard Rock Cafe (not even The Joint) is not causing hotel rates to rise.
Think there is a fight at MGM Garden Arena on 15th September which may better explain hotel rates...not sure, but it's not Adam Ant that's doing it.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SHOWSSantana is at Mandalay Bay that weekend0

SHOCKING. He was one of my faves Antmusic and all. I even won a dance comp dancing to Prince Charming back in the day and yes I did have a white stripe on my face!

By older Decor wise do you mean the rooms or the hotel
MGM rooms are looking tired unless you get a newly remodeled room (they are still doing them I believe)
Wheras Flamingo updated their rooms (The GO rooms) a couple of years ago and are still in the process of updating their FAB rooms
For the 2 nights that are expensive have you considered off strip somewhere like the Orleans, South Point etc0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYIt'll be the boxing at MGM on 15 September as previously mentioned, not Adam Ant
and Santana has a loooong residency from May-Nov, so won't be him.
