Question for people who did the Ballys Travelzoo offer.
    1. Does the buffet pass have to be used on the day that you stay at Ballys
    2. Which is the best of the three buffets, Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas, Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino or Carnival World Buffet at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

    thanks

Not posted in here for a while (no Vegas trips planned - sadface) but this might be welcome news to the regulars. It certainly was to me!

I don't think you can search for Open Jaw tickets on Skyscanner. If you're under 26 and/or a student, try looking on STA Travel's website, I got a pretty good price through them recently. That's the big drawback with Skyscanner -kayak's a far better option I find.

You can search for Open Jaw flights on Lastminute, Expedia etc. but they may not be great pricewise.

Really ? Whatever makes you think that ?
Fares are exactly half the return fare per sector -so if you are for example doing LHR LAX then LAS LHR where often the LAX fare is cheaper than the LAS fare-you reap the benefit with a lower fare on the outbound sector.

Not sure why you need to email them , hotels in Vegas are notoriously bad for replying to emails inless you have a specific person you can email. Just book up on their website (via the cheapest link) for whatever room you want, put a note in the box for your requirements

You could always call them (using international call checker sticky will be about 1p per minute) nearer the time to add a specific request but thats all it would be, No hotel will gtee the best room.

You could always post a question/comment on their facebook page that usually gets a response

I've stayed at the Flamingo 5 or 6 times and have always stuck my room requests on the booking (using the hotel's own site) and always got what I've asked for...or better.

Want to run something by you guys, am I being mad.

I'm planning to go to Vegas in November but won't be booking flights for a few months so no fixed dates I've just seen what I think is a really good deal for TI working out as $190 for four nights plus two free buffets, its direct so only needs a deposit of first night and is refundable with cancellation up to 2 days prior to arrival.

I always stay in a few hotels when I go over these and I'm pretty sure this will be part of any period I'm out there for as encompasses my Birthday.

So is it as easy as it seems for cancellation and does this seem as good a deal as I think, considering I've never stayed at TI and really fancy it?

Hard to say if it's a good deal not knowing what dates - how does the price compare to other deals or standard rates for the dates you are going...cancellation is as easy as it seems (though some deals have special T&Cs that may be more strict than normal - doesn't sound like an issue in this case but always worth checking).

I really enjoyed TI...only real downside for us is it's a one-off, it's not part of a group of properties...so our play only counts there, and play elsewhere doesn't count at TI...and while we did have 2 days comped and one day at casino rate, that was all they did for us...no comps at check-out, not even food we charged to the room. This was fine, we didn't buy anything we would not have...but we're used to having some points to use (at CET properties) toward stuff like that, so it was a bit disappointing.

That said, given how much better we did at TI than at the CET properties, maybe we should just pay more for our rooms in the first place and play less at CET properties. :rotfl:
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I have booked and cancelled rooms often, although not at TI, and the deposit was refunded to my credit card within a couple of days.

Buffet passes are normally good for 7 days so I don't think you will have to use them on the date of the stay.

The best buffet of those 3 is probably Paris. It used to be an excellent buffet, but we didn't find it so good the last couple of times. Best value is using it for dinner.

We think the Spice Market has gone way downhill. Both the service and the food were truly awful last time we were there and we didn't bother going back even though we had discount coupons for it.

The Carnival World buffet is massive. We haven't been for a few years so can't comment on how it is now. We tried to go last trip or the one before, but the queue was massive and we didn't want to stand in line.
