    Have a great trip ferf!

We have done both early and late arrivals and find it much easier to adjust with the late arrival as we manage to stay up later the first night.

We like the late arrival as well. Seem to be scratching around most of the day if we land around 2, being tired and wondering if it might be worth getting some sleep in the afternoon. We did that once and woke up at 9pm, felt like !!!!.
Now we land, get to hotel about 8-9, go out for some dinner close by (last one was to Bahama Breeze, this one will be to Ellis Island) go back to hotel bar for a drink, then in bed by 11.
Ferf, is this the redemption flight in on a code share you were on about?
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

it's the business flight using miles, yes. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Oh nice, so you are flying out CW on BA? If so make sure you get to use the Galleries lounge in T5 for a good couple of hours before you flight, and book a free treatment at the Elemis spa. If it is with AA use the Cathay Pacific lounge in T3, must better than the Admirals lounge.
If I can be of assistance to help wth anything like best seats send me a PM

I dont know if it has been mentioned before but we do not have a poll set up this year yet. How about best airline to use or best hotel stayed in. Mine would be AA best airline (VS if traveling J) and best hotel, hmmm, let me think about that one.....

    Oh I got it, Platinum:D

    Mustang convertable question.

Still havent sorted a car for March yet, I only want a convertable if it is a Mustang (I know its not gteed) so I may just go for my old favourite the Charger.

Just looking at the spec for a Mustang and it seems that manual transmission is standard with Auto being optional.

I dont want a manual car in Vegas as I drive 35000 plus miles a year here in a manual and enjoy the laziness of an Auto in Vegas

All those who have had a Mustang, have they been Auto or Manual, thanks

We're flying business on AA on the trans-atlantic flights...our real hope is landing at LAX early enough to have time to use the showers at the Admiral's Club there...we shall see.

I can add a poll if everyone wants one, anyone have any other ideas for a poll?

Not sure about a best Airline poll, to me the best is usually the cheapest as it is a means to an end, I hate flying so they are all bad IMO, with Virgin being the worst, (on the Gatwick -Vegas route)

Also think you would have to compare like with like ie cattle class with cattle class

Mine was an auto. It seems strange that they would spec a manual, a lot of Americans only have a licence to drive automatics

We think ours was an automatic...Dollar's US website lists the Mustang Convertable as Auto.

Your Car Choice : Standard Convertible Ford Mustang Convertible (or similar)
    • Automatic transmission
In general in the US hire cars will be automatic...unlike here...totally threw me getting into a hire car in Scotland that was manual...I drive a manual, but have never had a rental that wasn't automatic before....just used to auto as standard. :)
