has anyone heard of or used otel.com before?
i looked on trip advisor for las vegas hotel deals, and it is one of the sites that came up with quotes
its £291 for 5 nights (6th to 11th sept) NY NY park avenue deluxe room for 2 adults.
I know I have to add on resort fee of $16.80 per day but still thought it might be a good price. the link is below:

FREE ATTRACTIONSMy parents used otel for San Francisco and had no problems at all.0

I've heard of them before and priced on their website although I have never booked with them.
Remember to check Topcashback and Quidco as they used to be on there.0 -
right - pretty much booked all accommodation apart from 3 nights for our next trip... we're a bit Vegas top heavy and could have spent more time on the west coast but we're fine with how it's balanced and there's no journey times we haven't done before, however it wouldn't be most peoples itinery of choice i'm sure!
- 1 night in Super 8 @ SFO
- 2 nights in B&B @ Napa
- 1 night in sea-view room @ Morro Bay
- 1 night in Hilton @ San Bernadino
- 3 nights @ ?? (Vegas)
- 5 nights @ Platinum
- 3 nights @ Luxor ('Jacuzzi' room - whatever its called)
Just need to sort a car out now - so tempted to go convertible for the Pacific highway part of our trip but not sure I can be bothered with the extra expense and ineffective air-con0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYI have all my rooms booked for our trip next month. (I love saying that, even though it's still ages away.) We may change some of these if better offers become available.
- 5 nights Excalibur, Wide Screen Room.
- 10 nights Rio, Ipanema Tower.
- 7 nights El Cortez Cabana Suites, Junior Suite.
- 9 nights Gold Coast, Premium Room.
- 11 Nights IP, Deluxe Room.
Not exactly everyone's cup of tea, but we're happy with that. It works out at $36 per room night including fees where applicable. We are frugal travellers.0 -
$36 is execellent!!
All our rooms are between £50 and £60 per night so not too bad compared to UK prices (etc). The only exceptions are for Napa Valley & Morro Bay which to be honest are both flippin expensive but cheap choices are extremely limited in those areas
Since posting earlier, i've looked and i'm contemplating using up 50,000 AVIOS miles for 3 nights in the Cosmo as our gap filler (but going to look at it properly later)0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYI've been in a couple of different Cosmo rooms and they are lovely. Out of our price bracket though.0

That's amazing...if we were to go for that sort of period of time I think we would go the same route as you guys in terms of places you stay...I'm so impressed with $36/night! As nvh says, can you imagine what you would get most places in the UK for about £23/night, compared to what you're getting? Crazy...I'm so jealous of your long trips...probably always will be!
5 more sleeps for us...not counting any sleeping that may be done on the plane...which hopefully will be quite a lot.
I'm interested to see how the later than usual arrival works out for us...we've never arrived in Vegas at 7pm or later...normally land by 2 and much earlier if we have stopped off to see family elsewhere in the US first...part of me thinks it will feel like we lost 1/2 a day...part of me wonders if we won't prefer it, like some here do. We shall see!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYHave a wonderful trip. I hope you both enjoy the later arrival time. We usually arrive after 7 pm, but haven't found it a worry since we spend such a long time there. The times we have arrived early afternoon have been hardest to get into the time change for us.0
