According to the Scottish Sun today the newest attraction in vegas is a "sharks in pool ride " at the Golden Nugget , hmmmmm, pretty sure this is about 4 years old.

Good old sun up todate as usual.

Flights booked 9th sept for 11 days £570 Aberdeen to Los angeles with british Airways and £70 return on southwest lax to las , best deal I could find, not too bad.

Just to find hotels now but wont be booking then untill about june , looking for 7 nights as 4 are comped in a suite at the stratosphere.

    Roll on trip number 5.

If anyones interested Stripburger coupons are available on Restaurant.com

I used the code Cabin and got 50% off.

At the min they have $10 and $35 vouchers.

porthorg could you tell me how this website works, when purchasing the vouchers? also when i signed up to the site it was asking for a 5 digit zip code? how can i input one of those when I dont live in the US.

caz07, all the information you need is on Page 1.

Yes Stripburger does include drinks as hubby always has a large Warsteiner which is $10.

i guess space is at a premium unless you're at wynn, bellagio or ceasers.

any shouts for pool areas with most space and most sun? tropicana maybe? seems abit far south though.

depending on what you want to spend/deals you can get, the Vdara pool is great (even comes with its own sun Death Ray, if you really like the heat!!)... it's pretty small, but you don't really get families staying there and have never seen it packed. it gets sun pretty much all day, beds aren't crammed in, there's a couple of jacuzzi/hut tubs as ewell as cabanas and private bathing and great bar/food service.

I agree that the Monte Carlo pool isn't great now if you want to catch the sun. We could see it when we stayed at the Aria and most if not all of it was in shade.

Bally's pool area is boring, sure...well, relative to some others it is boring...but it's not awful, we don't think...never seems too crowded and plenty of sun...but it's not a 'special' pool like some...and it has a deep end...I know this is irrelevant to most but one of the things we like about it...a 3' deep pool is not a proper pool to us. ;)

This may include some good info.

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Ballys pool isn't the prettiest around, but has plenty of space and a deep end. OH has never felt crowded there.

I have a feeling that a large part of the Monte Carlo pool is in shade now due to the City Centre project. I'd check that out further if the pool is a big priority. Also, my OH hated the GN pool because the beds are rammed together like sardines. Of course you can pay to go to the hideaway pool, which may be better.

Don't blame CC for the shade, its north of the Monte Carlo!

All I can say is that the first time we stayed at MC, there was hardly any shade and I hated it. The next time there was plenty, and my SO hated it. I'm not blaming City Centre, but it was the only difference seeing as we were there at approximately the same time of year.

We're considering the MGM Grand for August...... extravagant, but has anyone come across http://www.vegasview.com to book ? they look to be $100-$150 lower than other deals we can find (complete with '$65 dining credit' - anyone used that feature anywhere ?)....

Just wondering whether the website is some scam (looks genuine enough !)

*update!* - ahhhh....when we go through to book (or pretend to!), we have to tell them there are 4 guests (it is 2xdouble beds) and suddenly another $240 gets added !
    Bah! thought we'd found a bargain !

    cheers
    Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!
