VALUE FOR MONEYHi am off to vegas in March, can anyone tell me which restaurant.com vouchers are best to get. So far i only have Harley Davidson and will get stripburger ones when they become available again. I am staying on the strip and will not be renting a car so pref restaurants on the strip.
We like Envy (not on the Strip, but not far, and right by the Convention Centre monorail stop), and if you want to venture downtown (we've started taking a bus trip down on the SDX or whatever it is called one night each trip), Triple George Grill is another we really like. Raffles at MB was ok - it was one of those where with the voucher it was a good deal, without it would have been overpriced...felt the same about BB Kings and House of Blues...and The Cafe at The Hotel, but that is a bit more expensive than average normally.
Someone said recently that you can order from the Stripburger menu at El Segundo Sol...haven't tried it.
We are going to try Hash House a Go Go at Imperial Palace this trip - for breakfast - so bought a $10 voucher.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

CASINOScredit_crunch wrote: »can i ask how much you paid for your flights? I couldnt find anything direct from 6th august to end of the month for less than £900 per person! so we ended up booking for september & flying from dublin
thanks
Flights were around £870ish, expensive time to go but looking at it pretty much the best time for me to get away this year.
Just looking forward to getting away even although it is months away :rotfl:0 -
2nd vote for Envy. Best meal & Dining Experience I've ever had.0

FREE ATTRACTIONSI'm cyber stalking the virgin prices now for MAN - LAS 20th - 30th Dec which have only just gone on sale but already seem to be creeping up each day. Economy £778, PE £1456 today. Is it still safer just to book asap then never ever check the prices again?! I could probably drive myself mad checking each day and thinking that I should have booked it last week, the week before, the week before that....!?!?0

We normally find the best time (approximately) for booking flights is about 6 months ahead. There's normally a Virgin sale on at least a couple of times a year too I think. However, I've not travelled at Xmas (though I believe New Year's a busier time than Xmas) and we fly from LGW, not MAN - not sure if that'll make a huge difference. I'm sure other people on here can confirm or poo-poo my thoughts!
(Might just be me, but I quite enjoy stalking the prices too!)

GF and I booked our flights to Vegas yesterday, flying MAN > LAX direct April 18th 7 nights for £550 inc. checked baggage costs.
3 nights downtown wed, thurs, fri - Gold Nugget - Rush Tower Rooms - $269 (not inc tax)
4 nights strip sat, sun, mon, tues - Monte Carlo - Standard room - $309 (not inc resort fee and tax)
Could have booked Paris or PH for slightly cheaper than Monte Carlo due to resort fee pushing price up but gf's priority is good pools since we're hoping to catch some sun and Monte Carlo's looks way better than Paris/PH. Unless anyone wants to tell as different
Ballys, IP etc all cheaper but the pools look terrible so not an option. Unless anyone has any other suggestions.. did Flamingo last year so don't want to stay again just for a change. Flamingo pool looks great but looks absolutely rammed when it gets nice out and we'd rather relax and not have to put up with crowds/loud music.
Unfortuantly Manadlay Bay, Mirage, Bellagio etc out of our price range on this trip, shame as the pools look fantastic.0 -
i have got a price of £276 for Monte Carol, 5 nights in september through expedia. having a blonde moment but could someone confirm that the policy below means if I cancel prior to 4th September I get a full refund?
'We understand that sometimes plans fall through. We do not charge a cancel or change fee. When the hotel charges such fees in accordance with its own policies, the cost will be passed on to you. Monte Carlo Resort and Casino charges the following cancellation and change fees.
Cancellations or changes made after 12:00 PM (Pacific Daylight Time (US & Canada); Tijuana) on 04 September, 2012 are subject to a hotel fee equal to the first night's rate plus taxes and fees.
Cancellations or changes made after check-in on 06 September, 2012 are subject to a hotel fee equal to 100% of the total amount paid for the reservation.'
Also is £276 a good price for a deluxe room? $15 resort fee per day is charged on top of this. Going through quidco who have 12% cashback on hotels bookings atm.
Thanks in advance0 -
That is correct. I think that's a very good deal, considering I just paid $309 for 4 nights in April. (Includes a Saturday)
I'll have to check this QuidCo thing out..0 -
