*update!* - ahhhh....when we go through to book (or pretend to!), we have to tell them there are 4 guests (it is 2xdouble beds) and suddenly another $240 gets added !
    Bah! thought we'd found a bargain !

Is that $240 over several nights? Most hotels in Vegas charge extra for each person over 2...so that wouldn't surprise me.

    Q. How many guests do you allow per room?

    A.
Hotel policy allows a maximum of (4) guests over the age of 12, and (1) guest 12 or younger per room. If there are more than 2 people, regardless of age, there will be an additional charge of $35.00 per additional guest, per night.

I haven't used vegasview.com but the website has been around since 2002, at least.

Dining credit is normally used by charging to your room...some resorts will restrict where you can use it, but normally you go to a participating restaurant, charge it to your room, and the dining credit is applied against the charge(s).

We're considering the MGM Grand for August...... extravagant, but has anyone come across http://www.vegasview.com to book ? they look to be $100-$150 lower than other deals we can find (complete with '$65 dining credit' - anyone used that feature anywhere ?)....

Just wondering whether the website is some scam (looks genuine enough !)

    cheers

I wouldnt call MGM extravagant, What dates are you going there are often deals for $60 ish a night then of course resort fees to add

Not used the above site but you dont need to tell them that there will be 4 in the room, we always have 3 in the room and have never booked for more than 2

You do run the risk of only getting a king bed room though

    blimey: that sounds nasty :-(

Our plan was indeed for 3 nights in August, so the extra charge per person : perhaps that is just how it is ! & I know it is not Bellagio-extravagent, but as part of a 26-day tour, it feels a step above the "Travellodge" next door (which is, of course, another option !)

thx for comments, nothing booked yet ;-)
    Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!

Fight announced for 5 May, Mayweather v Cotto. If you are going this weekend and haven't yet booked, expect rates to be rising rapidly.

MGM seen to have been anticipating there would be a fight as their rates have been consistently high for that weekend for months.
  • Hi everyone - really interesting thread, going to Vegas in 25 days and cannot wait! We're going for my husbands 30th and I'm trying to work out which show to take him to see, I'm torn between Cirque De Soleil Ka and Cirque De Soleil Viva Elvis (I really want to see a CDS show!) - my husband is an Elvis fan and he's worried he won't see an Elvis while we are out there. Has anyone seen either of these shows? What are your thoughts?

If he's an Elvis fan it might be a better option...we thought it was a bit meh and would put Ka in front of it...not all the songs are Elvis' voice though...just to prepare him.

And if he is an Elvis fan you guys should go to see Big Elvis (free).
