    Hi All,

Where are the best buffets currently at?

Preferences would be good steaks, ribs etc...

    $50 for a buffet ????

Even the most expensive dinner buffet at Caesers palace is less than $50 (just), but by all acounts is the best available at the moment

Steaks and ribs don't feature on most buffets as standard, I don't think...plenty of alternate meats, but steaks and ribs are less common...some do have a steak night once a week though...photome's link will be a good guide. We had some pretty good ribs on the Orleans lunch buffet and we really liked it overall...great value for money, but not a top end place. Pretty sure I had ribs of some description at Wicked Spoon at Cosmo but more the Chinese-sort of ribs.

For steaks and ribs, personally, I would probably go to a place that specialises in that particular protein...even if we think it may not be as good as it was, Ellis Island BBQ for ribs (or chicken) is a great deal.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

don't think they did steaks, but the new Caesars Palace buffet definitely did a variety of ribs :)

was under the impression they were more expensive than the prices stated on the link you sent me! Result!!!

i'm sure i read before that its best to get there early as possible depending on the sitting?

Do people have recommendations on which meal to go for (i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner) or is it all really preference???

The Caesars Buffet of Buffets...the Luxor/Excalibur Take 2 (which I can't see is particularly worthwhile, myself).

As for which meal, it's probably mostly personal preference and plans for the day...we used to never do lunch buffets but now usually have one a trip on days we are going to be out and about and not have anything for breakfast and either have no plans for dinner or late dinner plans. We generally won't even consider a buffet on a day we have a specific plan for a specific meal...last time we did that was Silverton buffet for lunch when we planned on EI BBQ for dinner. We approached the very good Silverton buffet with the plan to 'not eat like we were at a buffet'...we kind of failed, then even 8 hours later that BBQ was still way too much food way too soon.

    personal preference

we almost always have buffet breakfasts and dont eat again until dinner.

one exception was Bellagio buffet, we had lunch at 4 oclock just as it changed to dinner so payed lunch price for the dinner buffet

We always have a car though and travel off strip for IMO better value buffets
