Mixed reviews about everything AT BEST!! You could send yourself nuts trying to make a decision from TA reviews :-)"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Mixed reviews about Cosmo on trip advisor
CYBER but only good today...$25 certificates for $4 - email alleges it's the lowest price of the year...looks like it applies to gift certificates as well.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

i have stayed at pallazo and Cosmo (terrace one bedroom). If it wasnt for the terrace with a fountain view, I think I preferred the room at pallazo, close call though
Both rooms are great but i dont particularly like either hotel/casino , just not my thing as both are to "posh"
Go with your gut feeling and enjoy.
I have booked 4 nights in the Augustus tower at CP next May at nearly $200 a night which is way more than i have ever payed to stay anywhere, just because i have always wanted to stay at CP, it will be a one off though and i am still having 4 free or reduced nights at the Orleans first0 -

it's such a subjective thing, really...unfortunately you won't know for sure unless you try it and you'll either be glad you did or feel it wasn't worth the extra money, I think...probaby no better excuse to splash out than a honeymoon though...but you don't want to be stressed about it either.
Personally, I wouldn't stay at Cosmo unless it was a terrace suite or better (or free or really cheap)...just like I wouldn't stay at Bellagio unless it was a fountain view room (edited to add: I probably wouldn't even do that again as I think there are much better options for the same money)...the room can be as great as great can be but if there's not that something extra - it is just a really nice room to us...and just a nice room doesn't have that much extra value for us. It would to some, but not us. Perfectly happy in a nice room for a lot less money most of the time with occasional splurges to try out other things.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Vegas is one place where you definitely can't rely on TA reviews. Just read some of the reviews of places where you have stayed previously and half the time you can't recognise them.
We had a Terrace Studio at Cosmo and loved it. Not as high as ferf, I think we were around the 20th floor, and we had a great view of the fountains.
I can't compare it to the Palazzo as we were upgraded to a Fortuna suite there so didn't get to see the standard room.
The MGM rooms have all been refurbished this year and there were some good rates and dining credit on a one-bedroom suite there on an offer which goes to the middle of next year. They used to be called the Hollywood suites.0
