Just reading back on the thread and noticed the laundry posts :rotfl:
For what it's worth, me and DH always do a wash before coming home from Vegas because it's one less chore to do when we get back. Unfortunately, we never get a room with a machine, so we get the Yellow Pages out and usually find a laundrette that's not too far from the strip (think the last one was near the Gold Coast)
Last time we were there, we were in a laundrette without air con. It was like a greenhouse, we sweated out the previous nights maragaritas and Nathans fries with cheese and bacon, and this rather nice old man walked in and told us that if we used the washing machines further up, we would have saved a whole quarter, which we could have put towards, well, a cherry slurpie or something :rotfl:
Still, it's all part of the fun.

I don't mind the WOZ slot, but it does eat a lot of your money. I like the WMS slots, they seem to make your cash last a bit longer, and last time, I did ok on Deal or no Deal. I'm a bit of a Video Poker fan too, got my first ever Vegas Royal Flush last year, won $200 :T
Best I ever did on anything roulette related was finding a chip worth $25 near one of the tables (I never play table games though :rotfl:).
It was in the Golden Nugget and it paid for our evening meal :T very MSE :rotfl:

Love the slots but there is nothing worse than sitting next to someone who is winning big and you are losing big style!!!!

Cant find any articles that suggest it has been put off, all the latest articles (late july) suggest the courts have given the demolition the go ahead

Looks like they can't do anything until this is sorted

But they're definitely doing foundation strengthening work on it at the moment

The OH had 'success' on the Hangover slots, taking it for about 100bucks in the week... But we only really go on the video slots for fun, the brighter and flashier the better :D

There is a laundry room at the sig. They have plenty of dryers and washing machine, the washing machines are pretty interesting if your from the UK and never used an American one before, lol.x

    Really? When did that change?

I had a big debate with them last August as my booking confirmation stated washer/dryers were available but they were absolutely adamant they weren't. I kicked up a bit of a fuss (had four peoples' worth of twelve days' clothes that I'd specifically saved because I thought there were facilities there) and eventually they "allowed" me to use the owners facility as a one off. It was on the ground (1st) floor. We were in Tower 2 though I'd imagine the setup is the same in all of them (?)

I'd be surprised if they were wrong as I did make a fuss, speak to a manager etc, but stranger things have happened....

I think that work you can see going on outside might be the foundations for the new escalator/walkway
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
