  • Making our first trip to Vegas in October (staying in Long Beach and hopefully driving or flying as far as San Francisco and back). Vegas is a must. Glad I've got 4 weeks to read all of this thread and pick up some top tips.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

There's a bit of difference between a download and a movie theatre, but whatever.....

Ferf and hubby, my OH and I like to go, so does duchy. I'm sure we are not alone.

We went to an Imax years ago at grand canyon & loved it but thats rather different I suppose. We would definitely go in Vegas if there was a movie we wanted to see, as we never go in the UK we just wait till it comes to cable tv as can't be bothered to find somewhere to park and then pay through the nose for everything; so it would be something different for us to do.

We don't tend to bother in the Uk either, we are miles away from a decent cinema here anyway.

Despite having nothing in common with 95% of the posters here, occassionally you do pick up something new that's worth further investigation and if you see stuff you don't agree with, or someone asking the question that's been answered hundreds of times before....just try and let it flow over you and move on to something else.

Best way to view this forum TBHO

I've been 5 times since the 1980's  It's a unique place but is overhyped (well it is American ;))

    Each to their own.

My name is stoneman, and I do washing in Vegas (actually Mrs. S does the washing I do the ironing) how do you think we manage to go for 10 nights and only take 4 suitcases with 32KG in each, as well as 2 roll alongs. If we didn't wash our stuff while there we would have to pay for excess luggage.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    !

We were thinking we might do the BOB thing next trip...we normally wouldn't, but if we can pop over for a snack whenever we want, maybe we will!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Last time I went for a week I only took hand luggage.
