As regards totalrewards. Is there a way of getting around the 6mth expiry of points?. I gambled a fair bit last May when I was there but now have no points again and back in Vegas in 3 weeks. Start to wonder whats the point in inserting the card on each machine

Might an LCI casino work? Empire Leicester Square for example?

No, it's not the same system, sadly. It would be very, very cool if it was.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Circus Circus have remodelled their rooms

Prob not of interest to many (if any) but they have always been good value

    http://www.circuscircus.com/las_vegas_hotel/room-types.aspx

Rooms less than $30 a night with 2 free buffets.

I know I know, no one wants to stay there,,,just posting and if there are any first timers reading, and are taking kids you cant go wrong at those prices

Make sure you book a tower though and not the manor rooms

Out of interest has anyone else booked a room at the platinum? I put in all my details, made the reservationa dn the next screen just said "thanks for your reservation" you will receieve an email soon, or print out this page. There were no confirmation numbers or details at all.
Don't worry, as long as you have printed out the page all will be OK. If you are worried give them a call. Looks like you might be there the same time as us. We have stayed there more than 10 times now so if you want any info PM me.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

You will be fine. Hard pressed to find a bad hotel in Vegas anyway. NYNY is my favorite looking hotel ever. Although some might say you are a bit south of the centre of the strip, you are still walking distance to it. But you do have a nice area anyway, easy walk over to MGM and the new look Tropicana. Catch the free monorail at Excalibur (I wouldn't bother going in there) to Luxor and have a look at the worlds largest man made atrium, then hop back on and go to Mandalay Bay. There that should keep you happy for a bit.

Oh and welcome, we are a friendly bunch here so if you need any advice at all just post it up:)
