Have just booked my trip to vegas 7th to 14th March. £580 ppn. Booked 4 days at Ballys with the travelzoo offer, and over the weekend the Platinum again using travelzoo offer. When speaking to Ballys the lady stated that they are running out of rooms so if anyone has vouchers may be worth calling ASAP.
Out of interest has anyone else booked a room at the platinum? I put in all my details, made the reservationa dn the next screen just said "thanks for your reservation" you will receieve an email soon, or print out this page. There were no confirmation numbers or details at all.

So playing about with dates on the totalrewards and I see that Ferfs calendar has comp1 and mine hs comp2, I believe that mine means partially comp.

You may be looking at a different view - there are a couple of different calendar options - I've checked and on the version I posted mine have COMP1 (Rate Calendar)...and on those on another calendar view, say COMP2 (All Destination Casinos Calendar).

The legends seems to say they mean the same thing?

    Comp1
Comps available some nights, please check availability

2 Comps available some nights, please check availability
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Don't know if this has been said before, but while the subject of total rewards is being discussed.
If you are new to Vegas,or like me,never gambled that much that I ever joined a "rewards" programme.
This will be our sixth trip, but, like I say, never signed up for any rewards, but I signed up online with total rewards, and even though I obviously won't have any offers yet, having not gambled, when I sign in a search for reservations, the prices for rooms are cheaper than any others that I found, including the hotels own normal site. For instance,we are looking for 5 days in August, already booked a week at Orleans, the 5 days are all $ 40 a night with Ballys, total price $224 and we also need a room for 3 which was $70 a night, total price $ 392...... $616 for 2 rooms late August for 5nights will be about £400 cheaper than anything else I have found...decided against the $56 travelzoo deal,as it's not going to be straight forward.Anyway, just saying, anyone either new to Vegas,or like us,never signed up before,it's worth doing online, just to see better room rates.

Doesnt comp2 mean that you have entered two account numbers, so you are seeing comps for 2 accounts combined?

only entered my card number, don't have another one to put in.

I know some on here have used Delta to get to Vegas.

For any that have is it reallly the case that you can only take a bag with dimensions of 22x14x9 on board.

If so we were really spoilt last year with BA carry on case with no weight limit.

Be aware that cabin baggage weight is no longer unlimited.............

    It is now 23kgs!! :rotfl:

The legends seem to indicate they are the same thing, I'm not sure.
If you click on reservations at the top of the page...a bit down the page there's a bit that says:

Looking for our availability calendars? Find them here

That takes you to the bottom of the page with the options to view.

    Flexible Date Tools

    Weekends Only
Use our weekends search to find the best hotel options.

    Rate Calendar
View multiple dates at one casino to see all my options.

    All Destination Casinos Calendar
View room rates across multiple casinos for up to two months and find the best possible deal.

  • As regards totalrewards. Is there a way of getting around the 6mth expiry of points?. I gambled a fair bit last May when I was there but now have no points again and back in Vegas in 3 weeks. Start to wonder whats the point in inserting the card on each machine

have you checked what sort of room rates you can get if you have logged into their system?

points aren't necessarily relevant to room comps - you could have 0 points and still have comped rooms...there is no way around it other than to give your card to someone who is going and have them run $5 through ($5 playthrough=1 point, and will extend the expiry date 6 months)...but that will impact how they rate your play (if you normally gamble $500/day...having a $5 day could hurt you). Folks in the US can get a TR credit card, but we can't...Just use reward credits before you leave Vegas if you're not sure you will be back within 6 months...then you won't lose them.
