Gorden Ramsey is opening a "bar and grill" later this year in Caesars Palace

Fox5 article here (not viewed it myself as phone won't load it so it might be rubbish)

  • Hi All!

That time again.. planning a solo trip to Vegas seeing as most my friends don't like the place (pfft!)

So, I plan to go from September 27th to October 7th. So a week and a few days. This covers 2 weekends so of course, the hotel costs start spiralling.

From the 27th to the 4th of October I can get a great deal at Excalibur (£250) from the below promotion:
http://rockvegasfest.com/hotels/ (I'm going to go to this rock festival as well.. looks amazing!!!)

So really I could do with some advice on where to stay for the last few days that won't cost too much. My only requirements are:
    1) internet connection
    2) on the strip (or very close to). Which end of the strip isn't too important though no further north than Wynn would be nice....

Does anyone know of any really good promotions around that time? Wondering what the cheapest people can come up with for this! Thanks everyone, much appreciated as always :)

And if anyone else is el-solo there around that time, a small MSE meetup could be on the cards?

Very close to -The Orleans -very cheap , very nice, free wi-fi in coffee shop -lots of cheap eating places and a fab buffet-good pool and free shuttle every 20 mins to mid Strip -frankly quicker to mid Strip than some "Strip" hotels.

I agree the Orleans could be a good choice. You would feel safe there at night as there's a security guy by the lifts who makes everyone show their roomcard to get past.

Depends whether you will be out late though, shuttle finishes around 12. Doesn't start till 10, but then that gives you time to go get breakfast etc.

I'm going to Vegas for the first time on 2 September for 11 nights - I can't wait!

It's me and the bf going and we booked through Low Cost USA flying with Virgin. We're staying at Mandalay Bay and then moving to Mirage so that we can experience both ends of the Strip easily and have fun in the Mandalay wave pool and lazy river =)

This forum / thread has helped me so much with planning by reading everyone's posts, so thank you!

Have a great time, I am sure you will love it:)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

that is so sweet that's your favorite movie. :) I'm disappointed as we're a few weeks too late for the last one...would have loved to have checked this out.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
