I would be interested to hear what you think of the Scoot City Strip tour. We also did the Red Rock one and then booked the new one with a groupon.

    Have a great trip!

Will let you know! I will likely be writing another trip report anyway :)

We leave for the airport this evening for an early flight tomorrow. Gah, impatient!

See you on the other side, guys & girls!

Hi Pauliy, i own a timeshare at the jockey club, and to be honest it depends what your after, if its the pool then i agree with others about the platinum, however i get to use the pool at the cosmo as im a owner, not sure if that applies to you.

I can say that although the jockey club looks rough on the outside, it is lovely inside and the staff are great, also they refurbed the whole building 18 months ago.

Overall i love the jockey club as it clean, great staff and nice and quiet, its like a haven in there compared to the rest of vegas
Sorry it was the pool area i was referring not the hotel its self. The rooms themselfs look great, its just the pool area that looks like something from a motel 6.

Rooms dont really bother me tbh. Im a contractor and spend almost all my life living in cheap uk B&Bs. As long as there clean i dont really care. A good pool area is a must though as thats where i spend a good part of the day.

The walking thing has never really bothered me in vegas. last time we stayed at the mirage and walked down to the mgm/ph a few times a day, the walking the strip and just popping in and out of the casinos is actually the best of vegas for me

    Hi Guys,

Im looking at going on a trip with 5 other lads end of Sept/early Oct.

anyone got any recomendations of where is a reasonable place to stay on a budget? and what sort of flight costs we will be looking at and if theres any chance of a group discount.

Also any ideas for crackign nights out?

    Cheers

    Kaj

    Have you read page 1

But for a group of lads on a budget the Imperial Palace would be hard to beat

Would bills gamblin hall be considered a mid strip hotel? From the pictures it looks like a fairly good budget hotel? Im sorry for the hundreds of questions I've been asking over various threads but i think if i went by the reviews on trip advisor i wouldn't want to stay at any of the hotels in Vegas! At least i can get a sensible idea from you guys!

Sincerely doubt that 5 would qualify for any sort of a discount. Bear in mind most hotels charge $20-$40/night extra for people over 2 in the room in your price comparisons.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

It depends on what you want. The rooms are reasonably good. It is super easy to get from the room to the casino or the centre of the strip. We liked it when we stayed there, but last time we thought that housekeeping was beginning to slip.

Last time we stayed was Oct 2010, and we will stay again. Just don't have a recent review.

It has a great location and easy parking, hotel is very small compared to others in Vegas I like the casino(which is also small) but there is no pool although you can use Flamingos next door

    Hi all

Me and my OH are heading out to Vegas on the 1st July for two weeks, and I was looking to book up a "Sunset ride". Has anyone else done this? It's a 1.5 hour ride through the desert at Sunset, with a BBQ, campfire etc after.

I'm a rider but OH isn't, but wondered if anyone has any tips or recomendations?

    Thanks

    Melanie
