Little late to the party with discussing Scoot City, but it really is worth the money.

We did it 2 years ago (not long after that bad review actually) and it was a perfect morning, one of the best parts of our trip. (its in my trip report in the 1st post i think).

It was so good, that we have sorted the other tour (Strip & Downtown) for this upcoming trip.

2 more days. Im getting a bit giddy.

I would be interested to hear what you think of the Scoot City Strip tour. We also did the Red Rock one and then booked the new one with a groupon.

    Have a great trip!

We have booked the Tropicana for 5 nights from next Monday - part of a longer holiday elsewhere in the USA. Never been to Vegas before - really looking forward to it (apart from the flight - hate flying!)
Any tips on transfer from airport to hotel? I was going to get a taxi, how much should it cost and should the price be agreed at the airport?

On the meter, Trop shouldnt be more than $15. No tunnel.

I think I've finally narrowed my hotel search down to the tropicana. Has anyone got any experiences to share? From the sites I've visited it looks like a good location and has been newly refurbished. I've found a discount code that has taken 20% off my 10 day stay for 2 people at the start of October (£548), but Im scared to take the plunge

I agree with ferf.....split it as Trop is very South Strip. But the refurb is nice....Ive only been in the casino areas though, but much nicer and light than places like TI and Aria (dark and low ceilings).

Funny, we prefer the latter 2 to Tropicana in terms of the casino (post refurb, but it's a lot nicer than it used to be, agree)...just goes to show it's all a matter of personal taste and there's something for everyone...one of the great things about Vegas! :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Yes.
paid £500 for a week at the vdara from low cost USA including resort fees. Got 3 days booked at the plaza downtown (ive heard they have refurb the whole place)

Just looking for something for the first 4 days. Im looking at either the jockey club or the platinum. Both the same price but from the pics the pool at the platinum looks far better. Only downside is that it looks quite far off the strip
