HOTELS@photome........One addition I would make here is reference to the Hollister Outlet in Primm. Its nowhere else within hundreds of miles of Vegas AFAIK, and is the only reason I schlep out to Primm every time I go to Vegas. Plus is not dark, noisy and crowded like normal Hollisters......its well lit, and stuffed full of bargains eg Hoodies for $15, tops for $10. Usually some kind of promo going on at the same time as cheap prices eg 25% off store wide.
Can you walk to the hollister Outlet in Primm, from the shopping outlet at Primm. We have never bothered going to Primm outlet mall before,as there has always been enough shopping choices in Vegas. But this trip we have decided to go for the day,we don't hire a car,so would just use the shuttle buses that run from Vegas. So if we get off the bus at the outlet mall, can we walk to Hollisters from there.0 -

Hi,
We (me & OH) are planning a trip this June. 17 days in total. Early stages, but so far we have agreed to fly to New York for 3 nights, then on the Vegas for 5 nights. After that we plan to drive to San Diego and up to San Fransisco, stopping at different places, and then fly back from San Fransisco.
We have only been to America once before, 10 yeas ago to Florida, so this will all be new to us.
I would welcome any suggestions, particularly with the following ( I realise alot of this has been covered at the start of this thread, but I would love to hear of other peoples' personal experiences) :
Where is the best place to look for cheap flights (from London)
What would be the best things to do in vegas in 4 days (we could do longer)
Where is the best place to book hotels (we would want a reasonable hotel in vegas, approx £100 per night max, and cheaper ones for the rest of our trip)
Would we be best to hire a car for the time we are in Vegas, or wait until we leave.
What is the best way to see the Grand Canyon
Any suggestions on where to stay / what to do, between San Diego and San Fransisco
Anything I have forgotton.0 -

Have a look at the first few posts which have a lot of detail on these topics.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYAt this point we had 6 days up for grabs before we had to be in Boston for 4th july, choice was Chicago or Washington/Philly/Atlantic City or some combination there in

Then curiosity got the better of us, "I wonder how much it would be to go back..."[/FONT]
headed back to vegas for 5 nights in westgate it was all late nights and lying by the pool, we needed a break from sightseeing!!
Loved the trip report- awesome room at Cosmo, awesome win and all you guys looked very spiffy in your kilts...but this was probably my favourite part.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Yes I agree, everything you want to know is in the first few posts and FWIW the information was compiled from people's personal experiences.
Vegas probably has the cheapest rooms rates in the US. Your most expensive rooms will be in New York.0 -
Also loved the trip report. How lucky were you to win $1198! One more dollar and you would have had to complete a W2G (I think it's called) to save having to pay tax.0

VALUE FOR MONEYThis seems like an interesting deal for Bally's...seems you can buy multiple vouchers to stay more than one night...and the fact that you can use the buffet passes at 3 different buffets means not getting stuck at the same place all the time if you do go for multiple nights.
Two dinner buffets at any of the 3 listed would cost nearly $56 on their own (without a coupon, which, OK, most of us would have)...and can't see any dates that the North Tower rooms at Bally's are anywhere near $56/night on hot deals (haven't checked F&F though).
There are black-out dates, of course...but may be interesting for someone.

2 buffet passes (reg. $56) - The buffet passes can be used once for breakfast, lunch or dinner at:
• Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas
• Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
• Carnival World Buffet at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino
Purchase multiple vouchers to stay multiple nights and mix and match them for stays that include both weekdays and weekends
Buffet passes will be included for each day of stayDoes remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Hi guys,
Hope you don't mind giving a quick opinion on this for me.
We're going to Vegas in June for our honeymoon for 5 nights. He's mid 20s, I'm 30 and it will be our first trip to the States, nevermind Vegas. We want to stay mid-strip.
We have a provisional booking direct with the Flamingo for one of their Go rooms for £340 however I've just seen a deal for 5 nights at the Bellagio, entry level room obviously, for £375 including resort fee. That seems to be a pretty good price having looked around a lot. Reckon it's worth it? I know the room may well be smaller but we don't know if we'll go back to Vegas (depends how much we enjoy it and whether we can afford it) so it kinda appeals to stay in a 5* hotel for this trip0
