Thought i'd share this from my trip back in November 2011.

Been to Vegas lots of times and on the last trip we stayed at the PH Towers Westgate which is behind the Planet Hollywood hotel and situated at the back of the Miracle Mile shopping centre.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite for $650 for six nights including a Friday with no resort fee. Massive room with 4 TV's and a projector!

Cant recommend it highly enough. Here's a video i took of our room.

Great room, I nearly stayed there last year but ended up at the Cosmo, maybe another time.

I'm sorry if this is ever so slightly off topic - has anyone done a multitrip which involves flying to LAS for a couple of nights, off to Hawaii for a time, back to LAS for a couple more nights and then home?

It seems multitrips can't be booked all in one go on the likes of Expedia, so it would be a case of breaking up the trip and booking in sections (ie. 1x return flight LHR-LAS... 2x LAS hotel bookings, 1x return flights LAS-Hawaii, 1x Hawaii hotel booking).
If you go to Virgin, AA, or BA you can book multi trips
I don't know if any of Virgins partners flies to Hawaii though.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Just made a few changes to our trip in March/April. I know a few of you are out at that time of year and might be interested in the following:

Cosmopolitan are doing a promo for 4 nights for hte price of 3. Ive just booked 26-30th March for a total of £343 on Expedia which includes double nectar points plus 12% cashback with Quidco, bringing the cost to a touch over £300 for 4 nights. This is for a city room.

we booked the same deal last year for a similar price and paid $25 a night to upgrade to a premium view suite that would have been £200+ when booking originally.

We sacked off a 4 night stay at the Tropicana ($350 inc resort fee) to go back to the cosmo. Its more money, but the Cosmo is absolutely fantastic, loved it there last year and is the best place Ive ever stayed in.

Looks a good deal, but while I liked the room at Cosmo last year..I couldnt afford to gamble at the tables there .

Have just changed my comped nights at Ballys to comped nights at Flamingo, so looks like I still wont get to try Ballys.

DAZ you could upgrade to a suite at Cosmo and we could all come over for a party :D

    TravelJigsaw Excess Refund Product
TravelJigsaw offers a damage excess waiver product which, if purchased prior to collection of the vehicle, offers reimbursement for the damage excess portion of any charges paid to the supplier as a result of a claim on the Collision Damage Waiver whilst renting your vehicle. If you, the renter, purchase our damage excess waiver product you will still be charged any excess but can reclaim this from TravelJigsaw

I would say that's for hire car companies that charge an Excess-obviously Dollar in Tx USA isn't one of them.

This can definitely be done on AA, however it may not be the best MSE way to book such a trip.

Hawaiin airlines have promos and cheaper fares at times than the add on costs that AA would charge.

Also hotels in LAS maybe cheaper via other means such as Priceline etc.

I did this kind of trip a l few years back though now extra taxes and fuel charges make it more expensive than my £110 for two

IMHO you have to weigh up the convenience of an all inclusive ticket against cost of doing it independandtly.

Anyone got any suggestions for how to get four or five couples in a "suite" or "linked rooms" without paying extortionate amounts? eg I know that if its just two couples then two adjoining standard rooms at Signature would do as they have an inner and outer door, with the outer door used when its a linked room. Happy for the living space (eg lounge, telly, kitchenette) to be shared, but with separate bedrooms.

seconded, we stayed there for a night in june (as CP were looking for $800!) in a 1 bed suite, loved the projector and the hot tub

was so good we went back to vegas 2 weeks into our honeymoon and stayed for another 5 nights!

question to all - how do you embed pics and videos, for the life of me i can't work it out, got some i'd like to put up from our trip.

Just had a 2nd round of winter sale stuff from BA, run a test date of 15/3-29/3 to see what come out, yes the price has come down about £60 compared to the sale from Dec. Run the dates through VA they were £545 before Christmas and still are. Using miles+ VA comes out at £515.30.

    Still a noticeable difference?

It is about all I can do at the moment to live vicariously through fellow MSE'ers. Every day my next 6 months look like becoming even more of a bi**h at work than I even I was expecting. All my prospective planning for November has an increasing possibility of going south.

So as much trip posting as possible please to help keep my blood pressure and frustration down.

Happy New Year to all and remember I lurk every day.

We've had adjoining rooms at the Signature several times, I have latched onto one of the guys that works there and just ask him nicely via email and give him a tip when we arrive. He always tells me he cant guarantee it (I always ask for balconies aswell to complicate it more haha) but he's not let us down yet so am hoping it works this year aswell. Anyway am babbling now so at the Sig I suppose its how willing you are to chance it really. :)
