Happy New Year everyone, feels good to be able to say am off to Vegas this year now!!!!

Just seen this on Facebook about Bellagio adding 3 new songs to the fountains... http://www.lasvegasweekly.com/news/2011/dec/28/bellagio-adds-three-new-songs-its-fountain-attract/

The Michael Jackson song is really well done. I swear you can almost see the fountains doing the moon walk
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Just made a few changes to our trip in March/April. I know a few of you are out at that time of year and might be interested in the following:

Cosmopolitan are doing a promo for 4 nights for hte price of 3. Ive just booked 26-30th March for a total of £343 on Expedia which includes double nectar points plus 12% cashback with Quidco, bringing the cost to a touch over £300 for 4 nights. This is for a city room.

we booked the same deal last year for a similar price and paid $25 a night to upgrade to a premium view suite that would have been £200+ when booking originally.

We sacked off a 4 night stay at the Tropicana ($350 inc resort fee) to go back to the cosmo. Its more money, but the Cosmo is absolutely fantastic, loved it there last year and is the best place Ive ever stayed in.

Just back from 4 nights at the Carriage House. Quite nice, not as swish as the strip hotels but we have done all that, convenience is what it's all about. will defiantly stay there again. I love being able to just get my car from the car park and go. Usually took us less tha 2 mins from car to room.
Mind I wish they would sort the key in the lift thing!
I think it was Luci that first mentioned this place, thanks.

Looking to split our 12 night trip in April between 2 hotels. TheHotel @ MB and then either Encore or Wynn. Starting to look at hotel prices now - having not stayed at the Encore/Wynn before, what would be a good price to pay per night? I have no idea if the prices being quoted are a bargain or not!

Looking forward to the new Bellagio fountain songs. Definately my favourite attraction in Vegas!

THanks WestHamDaz for the post on Cosmo. Was just about to book the 20% off promotion for April 8th this year but the 4 for 3 works out cheaper. However I cannot book through Expedia/quidco as the " terrace one Bedroom " isnt on their with this offer ???

Also the last time I visited Vegas I found a link to some offers at the Minus 5 ice bar in Madalay Bay. Does anyone know if any offers are available for here at the moment

Thanks in advance asalways for all the help and posts on here

    Possibly.

I read it as having zero excess on everything which is the reason I thought it relevant.

    Maybe someone else can clarify

On my recent Xmas trip to Texas I hired through Carhire3000

    T&C's as
Your rental includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection with zero excess.

I read that as both CDW and Theft cover has a zero excess.

I have just rung them and they have confirmed that was the case.

Also when I returned the car the attendant didn't bother to check if there were any dents etc.

I always book with zero CDW so was quite happy this rental had it.

Thought i'd share this from my trip back in November 2011.

Been to Vegas lots of times and on the last trip we stayed at the PH Towers Westgate which is behind the Planet Hollywood hotel and situated at the back of the Miracle Mile shopping centre.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite for $650 for six nights including a Friday with no resort fee. Massive room with 4 TV's and a projector!

Cant recommend it highly enough. Here's a video i took of our room.

    Whats this then?
    TravelJigsaw Excess Refund Product
TravelJigsaw offers a damage excess waiver product which, if purchased prior to collection of the vehicle, offers reimbursement for the damage excess portion of any charges paid to the supplier as a result of a claim on the Collision Damage Waiver whilst renting your vehicle. If you, the renter, purchase our damage excess waiver product you will still be charged any excess but can reclaim this from TravelJigsaw

I'm sorry if this is ever so slightly off topic - has anyone done a multitrip which involves flying to LAS for a couple of nights, off to Hawaii for a time, back to LAS for a couple more nights and then home?

It seems multitrips can't be booked all in one go on the likes of Expedia, so it would be a case of breaking up the trip and booking in sections (ie. 1x return flight LHR-LAS... 2x LAS hotel bookings, 1x return flights LAS-Hawaii, 1x Hawaii hotel booking).
