The worst one ive heard of is a cross between a bulldog and a shitzhu. Guess what they call them? Bull shitz!!
apart from the fact that there are so many unwanted puppies around anyway to breed what is a crossbred with often no health checks and then charge hundreds of pounds for them is a disgrace not to mention they often go to people who have no idea what they are taking on but just like the name. really makes me mad!

Some of these have really made me laugh but the Great Dane called puppy brought tears to my eyes.

I am sure that these "designer" dogs all started with the labradoodle. People though that they would get the temperament of the lab with the non shedding coat of the poodle. A friend who is asthmatic researched this and found that not all labradoodles were non shedding so had to rule them out of his search for a dog.

I have waited more than 30 years to be in a position where I could give a dog a home due to working silly hours with an even more ridiculous commute. I chose to have a pup as I A) wanted to go through the experience of us learning together and B) didn't feel I had enough experience to deal with the possible problems a rescue dog may come with.

I have invested heavily in my pup from my initial research to puppy classes, from socialisation to puppy party's and I took a 3 month break from work to give him the best start I could.

I recently started back at work 5 minutes from home and he gets walked for 30 minutes morning and evening with a game of fetch with his ball in the garden at lunchtimes. From this week he will also have a dog walker to take him out for an hour another couple of times a week.

:o Sorry for going off at a tangent :o

That's how I ended up with my puppy, he was given back to the breeder because they set off their kid's allergies. He sheds FAR more than his lab mother, to the point I had to buy a new hoover and resign my car to being fluffy inside

Thought you might like to read this sounds ljust like what you are up against but nice to see it out in the open in a National Newspaper. Really hope you find a lovely dog soon its horrid when you loose a much loved pet but getting a new one does bring so much happiness it makes it a lot easier to cope.

There are 345 stray dogs being found every day, yet why is it so hard to give a dog a loving home?

The most ridiculous one I've heard of is the Shih-poo a cross between a Poodle and a Shih Tzu.

Friend has just had one of these, incredibly cute little thing. The breeder assured her that they were going to be a kennel club registered breed 'very soon'. Can't see it myself.

Still, could be worse, thankfully the chances of a Bulldog breeding with a Shih Tzu are remote :D

Should be reported to Trading Standards. I bet your friend paid a fortune for this mongrel....
