Jack Russells certainly shed - as can Labradoodles.
I hope one isn't bought by someone with an allergy - or in a few months' time there will be another poor wee one looking to be rehomed.
What the heck are those puppies going to be called?:rotfl:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

I love cross breeds, my first dog was one too. There's just no reason to deliberately create them when there are so many in shelters. And no need to pretend they are a breed.0 -

People keep asking what one of mine is - and look most baffled when I just say, well he's got a leg at each corner and goes woof and is whatever was wandering down the back alley when mum was in season so I guess he's a common or garden mutt! They just cannot deal with him not having a fancy name (if anything he'd be a GollieTerrier - GSDxCollie x some unspecified terrier to explain the slobbery beard).
The most ridiculous one I've heard of is the Shih-poo a cross between a Poodle and a Shih Tzu.0 -

Mongrels (or "Product of irresponsible, half-wit owners").
Obviously, not aimed at you rising - I realise that you quoted that ad."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

I hate this 'designer breed' mentality, because thats what it is when people are deliberately creating cross-breeds to sell, and they do it because there is a market it for it. Did it not start with labradoodles (or am I being naive?)
More than anything because my own Great Dane Leyla (rescue) was used for breeding th ese designer pups, and they were calling them Danois de bordeaux.
Great dane cross dogue de bordeaux. Poor Leyla produced 3 litters in immediate succession whereupon the 3rd time, one pup with broad head got stuck in the birth canal, meaning she had to have a C-section. At this point Leyla was only 3 years old. Now 4 and speyed and in a forever home it wont ever happen again, but when I think what was done to her, overbred, money for her pups, and then chucked out when the vet said .no more litters, grrrrrrrr.
education about breeding and treating all animals with respect will never happen in my lifetime.0 -

The moral of the story here is - if you want a puppy-do your research, check out proper breeders (pedigree dogs). Or go the rescue route, there are lods of mongerel puppies looking for forever homes.
If not then go to the breed rescue for a grown dog. Safer, easier, rescue back up for life (avoid the RSPCA like the plague). It can be done properly. If you need a pointer in the right direction PM me. What ever you decide to do either now or in the future, am sure it will be the right decision x x0
