Just logged on to check my bank account and vanquis totals and decided I can afford to pay another £15.23 towards Freemans. Then I got really annoyed at how close to 25% paid I was, so I calculated my total debt divided by 4 and deducted how much I've paid so far. That led to another £12.27 going to the freemans account. Afterall I have a freezer full of bread and a cupboard full of baked beans if worse comes to worse
Updated my snowball to reflect the paid amounts, and my gazillion places where I write on spreadsheets hehe
Proud to say 25% complete *claps and jumps for joy* today is an exceptionally good day.
This thread really is amazing, before it I would have made minimum payments and then wasted the rest of the money on god knows what. Since November 15th (two months ago) I've cleared a quarter of my debt.
THANK YOU JEMMA and everyone else that's been here supporting meYou're little angels.

Congrats on getting in the Great North Run :j:j:j, it is such a fantastic race. The atmosphere is amazing and the Red Arrows make it incredible over the Tyne bridge and along the coast in the last mile of the race. You'll have a great time!

Karenann inspired me to call Wescott and Lloyds this evening to see about reductions in amount or freezing interest. I'm dead chuffed with myself.
Wescott have agreed to reduce my amount from £1760.50 down to £1400 which I can pay £466.66 each month for 3 months to clear. It's a partial settlement but they said that'll be it then, no more money will be owed and it won't be passed to another debt collection agency yay.
I then phoned Lloyds and asked for my interest to be frozen. They took down my income/outgoings and offered me £12 a month repayment plan over 6 months with frozen interest. Result!
So I will clear my balance as usual on vanquis to have 0% interest there, then pay wescott their money from vanquis cc credit. Then pay freemans from vanquis cc credit, which will deplete my money on vanquis. Pay lloyds from my hsbc account and hsbc interest from hsbc account. So only interest is freemans and hsbc *claps*
So all in all I have just saved myself £360 in an hour whoop whoop.

Well done Pedro on getting your place for the GNR, I also got a place :j I was totally shocked, going for my first run of the year on Saturday  Although its £50 out of my account this month which means less money to pay off my debts.
Also just heard today that the job I love and hateis going out to commission in about 2 years time, so I could be out of a job. My husband and I have just said that paying off our debts is even higher on our list to do now. The joys of working for the council
Kerri hope your sister is doing well, hope its not another false alarm.
Very pleased with my self today as I changed both bulbs for my car lights (I normally pay Halfords to do it as I'm clueless) so saved money and did it myself, my husband was shocked I managed it :rotfl:I will stop spending on things I don't need

Look up, it's even more awesome since I spoke to Wescott at 7pm:j:j:j all because of your thread
Nah, it's because of you. You can have all the support in the world but it is YOU who is making the payments and YOU that is changing your habits for the better :A xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
