  • Hoping to be much less overdrawn when it gets to payday this month, and then every month after that hoping to have a little bit left to make payments with! I have also lost weight (I weighed myself this morning despite vowing to only do it once a week!) So after this weekend I'll be making a payment and posting my weight loss (assuming I don't get tackled to the ground and force fed by a pizza and chips over the weekend.....)

    Good work everyone x

Karenann inspired me to call Wescott and Lloyds this evening to see about reductions in amount or freezing interest. I'm dead chuffed with myself.
Wescott have agreed to reduce my amount from £1760.50 down to £1400 which I can pay £466.66 each month for 3 months to clear. It's a partial settlement but they said that'll be it then, no more money will be owed and it won't be passed to another debt collection agency yay.

I then phoned Lloyds and asked for my interest to be frozen. They took down my income/outgoings and offered me £12 a month repayment plan over 6 months with frozen interest. Result!

So I will clear my balance as usual on vanquis to have 0% interest there, then pay wescott their money from vanquis cc credit. Then pay freemans from vanquis cc credit, which will deplete my money on vanquis. Pay lloyds from my hsbc account and hsbc interest from hsbc account. So only interest is freemans and hsbc *claps*

So all in all I have just saved myself £360 in an hour whoop whoop.

  • Aaargh! I'm drowning. Back to Uni this week, three modules this term plus three days a week working. Got home to chaos, kids and creatures not fed, mountain of post and bills to sort out. I seriously need a PA/housekeeper. :rotfl:Shame I can't afford one, eh? ;) Am slowly getting next lot of statements through so can do my monthly update soon, once interest is on snowball.
