Wow it really is all happening at the moment, my housemates just announced that she's engaged and they're house hunting! We had celebratory curry tonight that my housemate cooked with some of both of our leftover veg

What does that mean in terms of your living arrangements? Just wondering how you felt about them moving out :) Haven't yet had the courage to tell my housemate that MrS asked me to move in. :o

  • Joining the revolution! Fed up of having a credit card bill hanging round my neck. I'm lucky I don't owe a fraction of what some of you do but I still can't manage to get rid of it. Gonna wait for my Jan bills then will add all my financials. Well done everyone for standing up and saying No More!

I've considered this. OH will move to London 6 months after the lease is up. Lease is up in December. I'll be debt free with an extra £600 to my name :) Sooooo.... if she moves out of the flat in December, I'm going to see if I can take on the contract, maybe get someone in for 6 months to help with the rent before OH moves in. Early days yet, will see how it all pans out :)

Ok so you have a plan of action, that's good :) Obviously all depending on when and if they find somewhere. I'm really nervous to tell her! But I haven't entirely decided yet.

Sold 2 ebay items last night for £12 and £2.50 so have to post those today, everything else ending Sunday, a fair few items have no bids or watchers but I don't mind relisting them... and relisting, and relisting :D

if they dont sell after a few relists think about combining them into a job lot as there are car booters/ market stall owners who will buy a job lot to sell on. This is what I do with clothes and toys I dont think ill get anything for on their own

If they don't sell after a few, I might make MrS do a car boot and chuck it all in there... I'm sure he has enough carp to do one :)

Hello all!Still struggling to view MSE pages properly at work and never seem to have time in an evening. There were loads of pages to catch up on this morning, so much so I've forgotten what most of you have been up to, sorry!Kerri - well done on quitting to start a new job.Idris - so are we in the midst of a celeb then?Jemma - things sound more positivesuzitiger - good to 'ave you back, hope you find a H soonAntonia - my close friends know about my debt and we talk about our debts quite openly. DH doesn't though and I don't think any of his friends know about our debts. Haven't told any of our family. Definitely wouldn't discuss it with a colleague unless they were a good friend.Still no debtbusting but on the positive side, no spending either :-)keep debtbusting xxx

A Celeb? how? Actually I WAS on the last series of Britains Best Dish ANDI won my round despite Jilly Goolden slagging off my veg :rotfl:
and I was on a programme called "Whats Really In Our Food" and a programme called "Kidstuff" for 6 weeks with my newborn DD (now 14) and a LLoyds Bank ad.And for a while due to my involvment in Kidstuff I was the local news's token single mum and they used to wheel me out everytime they needed one LOL And yes, I do get recognised LOL
Husband is VERY famous internationally in his field. Unless you were a scientist though you wouldnt have a clue :D:rotfl:

I am not going to one :) I've got last nights curry. Very pleased with this as I normally spend £4.50 at the one over the road. Besides, my hips hurt too much to walk over there. Sooo many excuses not to spend money :)
