I've asked a few questions on other boards but don't anymore as they are just rude, opinionated and judgemental. It's such a shame as people who are desperate and have just found this site go straight to them threads as they need someone to help them and all they get is run off by bad experiences.

I once asked on the loans board about how to work out the early redemption penalty of 2 months interest (i.e. what two months did they use?). I got very unhelpful posts and I must have mentioned that I had a Pure Maths degree to which someone replied that I should be able to work it out then! If I don't know the formula then I can't work out the answer you complete spanner!!!! arrrrggggggg!!!!!

Hi all, sorry to hear about the misbehaving OHs. For some reason mine is being extremely understanding about my obsessive frugal ways, which is really helping.

My first big test came today, Foo Fighters at the REading Festival. Saw them 3 times last year.:heartpuls Just love 'em. But no, no, no, I will not spend money I do not have!

Off to make some choc chip cookies and listen to loud music to cheer myself up! Although am feeling strangely proud of myself.:D

Haha yeah I got the opposite when I asked the same sort of question on the loans board... I got a long winded complicated answer that I didn't understand but too scared to ask what they meant for fear of being called stupid! Can't win! xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.

Oh, I have done something bad. Scrolling through the posts I seem to have reported one as spam and I don't know which one. So a very big sorry to whoever it was.:o

Barbeduk, you can always watch it on tv, I know it's not the same but you save money, can use a shower, don't have to worry about someone setting light to your tent and you get a really comfy bed too :)

I've just answered the door thinking "ooh my parcels arrived" to three paramedics! Turns out with the wedding and trying to find a house, plus everything else that's going on my housemates had a panic attack and her finance has called an ambulance! How confused must I have looked when the paramedic said "52 <road name>? 25y/o female with breathing problems?" my reaction "urm....is <housemates name> 25?"

You would think he would tell you! When Mr S woke up bleeding after his op, I told the housemate that we were waiting for an ambulance then told him that we were going to hospital...

PS I'd delete your address :o

    oops thanks ;)
I would have thought they'd tell me too, especially as I have an inhaler which can help open your airways when having a panic attack. I guess you can buy all the material objects in the world, but you can't buy common sense.

I am a bit taken aback by some of th posts on here and they actually stop me replying at times :( The worst thing was that I totally understood what the OP was doing and it was perfectly normal to me :rotfl:

She was buying packs of choc bars and charging her family when they took one, so instead of the SM getting the profit, the family did. Classic second pursing as far as I was concerned, but the replies branded it 'stupid' and 'rediculous' and there was comments like 'oh do you charge them for their dinner too?' etc etc.

They were just really condesending about something that was frankly none of their business without the slightest thought that maybe it was the only way she could afford to bring treats into the house :(

Just made me feel really :( for her

I think had she explained that it was 'second purse' then it might be different :) however some people just like having a go for no reason other than to wind everyone upp!

I'm declaring another £250 off my overdraft which might be a bit brave as my Gran died last week and I haven't been to work very much this month as a result. Still, I will get back on it with eBay etc and see if I can make up the difference for my April salary. So my new total is:

    #205 £963/£3913= 24.61%
Debt Free by Christmas 2012 #205 DONE!
    £2012 in 2012 #128 £1900/£2012
