  • Take that HSBC, final bit of deposit sent to solicitors without me having to pay a thing :P

    Ordered some furniture from Next at the weekend but I think the quidco failed because it had logged out in the time it took to place the order (I had to phone their helpline to check I'd done it right) so I'll have to raise a query. It won't let me pick a delivery day online either quoting "wrong surname" sigh.

    Well what a grizzly miserable day it is out there today! Ugh, its just grey grey and more grey.

    Jake came back from his camping trip, though they slept in bunk beds in a hall :huh: so not quite sure how thats camping :think: he had a fab time though im not sure hes quite 'clicked' with the other children :( He's the youngest, and as they wont let you join till your 10, nearly all of them are at secondary school where as he doesnt go up till september so i think that gap is looking a bit big atm :(

    Hasn't stopped him wanting to go to the next one though :rotfl: but he asked if next time, could I pack pyjamas, a towel and more than 1 change of clothes :o well I didnt know what he'd need did I :rotfl:

    I will be spending today entering more competitions and looking for more jobs for DH. Its really weird having him sat here this morning, hes normally gone bay 5am, feel a bit put out, this is MY time :rotfl:

    Lol Jakes-mum, I'm recalling the last time he was about the house and you were getting a bit fed up of him moping :) Hope he gets something really quickly this time. We haven't had a "game" update from you recently, has the battle of the game money finally found a happy medium?

    MSE plans for the day from me:
    * have a NSD
    * put away washing
    * maybe make something crafty this evening
    * have an early night for once
    Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyond

  • Solicitor just answered the phone to me with "You keep sending me money!"

    He's seen that the last amount is in so they're going to exchange today/tomorrow, I've text the seller and she's still on to complete on the 19th so as soon as I've heard from the solicitors I'll ring the bank and set up the contents insurance and the critical illness cover.

    Really hope OH can get a days holiday for 20th and then we can be all moved.

    I want to cry! (well, not really - but I am very upset :()

    Got hold of OH's bank statement for last month and he's been spending again! This means that not only are we back a month because I messed up our wedding budget but also have to give an update that takes our total backwards :(:(:(

    #077: £2,379/£16,660.26 14.78%

    And that's best case scenario as I only have statements to 1st March....

    Oh, and he's smoking again!!!

    Happy happy days. :o

    Ah funny you should mention 'the game' as hes been working away he hasnt been playing, but he spent £1.75 on 3 months prem yesterday without a discussion. Though im actually quite pleased it was so little, I felt the need for a moan as it was spent without my knowledge again, and if I dont do the obligatory moan he will see that as approval and next time it will be £10 / £20 / £50 :o

    Haha, let's hope not, otherwise your husband officially becomes a bigamist in June :rotfl::rotfl:

    They can be such hard work, can't they? All I got when I asked him about the smoking was a load of "non-responses" and getting told off for nagging :mad:

    Its like having a 3rd child at times I must admit :rotfl: I even get the sullen silences and puppy dog eyes. I have expected him to stomp up the stairs muttering 'its not fair' before now :rotfl:

    I only have a tiny wee debt compared to some people on your list so I feel a bit of a fraud asking, but I think I'd like to join in if you don't mind? My goal DFD is Yule - the 21st of December this year. :)
    I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

    Doesn't matter how much or how little you owe, everyone is welcome :) Jemma updates 2 or 3 times a week so you may have to wait a day or so for your very own number but you can join in the chat or update your figures anyway :j
