  • Everyone sounds more upbeat today - even with swipes at spendy OH's lol.

I am coming thru my recent set backs. Boiler was only £ 130 to repair. So relieved it wasn't more. Had visions of new boiler for £3k as it is getting on a bit. Think I will ask the guy to service it next month too cos he said it needed it.

Printer seems to have mended itself - maybe that shaking I gave it

A nsd to round up the day's progress :)

Just as I was thinking "it doesn't happen to me", I walked out of B*dgens looked at my receipt and had been charged for 3 yoghurts instead of 2! Went back in the shop, proved I had just 2 to the cashier and got my £1.39 back :)

Lesson of the day: Check your receipts people :)

Had a woman in Greggs try to do that to me when I was a student. She got really annoyed when I noticed, made me wonder if they had been over inflating their figures for a while by that method or the staff wanted free food but to keep the stock count right. Scary!

Well I had some good news yesterday on the expenditure front - our council tax bill came in & the monthly payment is £6 cheaper per month than i had budgeted. :D Woohoo!!

It sounds sad cos its such a small amount, but it means that the overdraft will get paid back ever so slightly faster than i planned :)

I've decided that I love wearing skirts to work but think I'll have to get my knee highs (they're not slutty looking!) out cos my feet are FREEZING!!!

I just got so stressed out about why one of my tests wasn't working, thinking the damn programming was gone again or the motors had blown. Turns out I'd switched the USB adapters off so obviously the computer couldn't tell it to move

    Ah well. Such is life.

I think im going to have to stop reading the marriages board as some users are so darned rude its unbelievable :( Though the posters question was quite trivial all the repliers did was give her rude and opinionated responses over something that they seemed to feel was a shameful practice within a family!

It makes me so annoyed that this place is supposed to be to help others without judgement no matter what their problem, but it just isnt so

I think the DFW is the best board for non judgemental posts, look at the loans board every now and then and people are hounded down... like if they fall into the PDL trap they get no advice but just told how stupid they are... I have also found myself on the marriages board a couple of times but only post on one particular thread! xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.
