    Morning all!

Hope you get the car sorted soon Jake's mum.
Sorry to hear work isn't going well Jemma.

Hubby has finally sold his car, yippee! Has had to sell it to a dealer so hasn't got as much for it as he was hoping BUT it's due it's MOT this weekend and he's having to pay for insurance even though he's only been using it once every few weeks to go to the footy. SO once he's paid off his OD, our June holiday and put a bit aside for a rainy day (the rainy day fund only has £34 in it, oops!) they'll be some left over to pay off a nice chunk of my CC, yippee! (I'm hoping he'll pay off £500 or so instead of frittering it away on nothing, fingers crossed)

Hope you all have a good/better day xxx

Jakes mum! You are having the worse luck at the minute.

Jemma, Know that feeling. I was once traced by a former employer by mobile phone signal which is illegal to do. Was extremely unhappy about this. Was over the moon when I heard he'd been let go, as he was a big bully! Karma prevailed

Bad bad day today. I feel upset, betrayed, angry, confused, shocked... l've felt for a while that something hfss been goingon at work and today I've been warned quietly that I'm being watched as some people think I don't do enough work... this is ludicrous as I always work extremely hard and have often worked a lot more hours than anyone else on site. In fact almost two years ago I have a nervous breakdown caused by working 90hr weeks for month on end. I had two weeks off sick then returned to work heavily on medication. I weaned myself off about 6 months ago but apparently they have to take this into consideration. I'm so angry I can't begin to tell you. I work damned hard in my job and NOONE is going to say otherwise. I will fight this. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!! I'm also on my mums phone now as our internet is down so this has taken blooming ages to write... because of the above I won't be going on here during work anymore. It's silly as I always work through my 1hr unpaid lunches and they are questioning what I do??!!!

So sorry to hear you're having a rough time Jemma.

What's the business plan and when do you hope to kick things off?

I've just thrown 1/4 cup of citric acid into the loo water :) Gave it a quick swish with the loo brush and I think in the morning the thick scummy limescale might all be gone ooooh! I know it's the weakest acid, but I had 1kg of it so thought I would give it a go :)

Oh and Jemma, sometimes people think I'm slacking because I'm able to do multiple things all at one time. So when I'm waiting for a script to run I'll be on here, however if people only ever look at my screen when I'm on the MSE pages, then they'll think I don't do any work either. Although from what you've said it doesn't sound like you enjoy it there that much anymore :(

I've been having to do a lot to defend myself recently at work in relation to what/how much work I'm doing: get told I should be doing x/y/z but have to explain that I can't because someone else needs to do a/b/c first. So I've been doing a, b & c for them as nobody will tell them to do their job (might upset them!). "But you shouldn't be doing that, you should be doing this". Right, and do you want me to explain again why I'm not....!?:mad::mad:

Doctor has told me (third doctor now) that I'm too stressed and need to take a job that's less pressured and nearer home, volunteered to sign me off, etc. (Unfortunately, the need to pay my mortgage overrides health concerns :() No appreciation from work at all for what I'm putting myself through

I often have very long macros running so use that time to come on here. Definitely can tell people wonder what I'm doing. I don't see the point in trying to look busy doing one thing, if you can prove that you're actually doing your job, and well. :p

Update from yesterday's panic: turns out that I can afford my wedding commitments but it does push DFD back by a month :(

I had budgeted based on number of months left until wedding x £ per month, but forgot that I had planned to have all the saving done and start paying debts 6 weeks before that.....:(

Oh well. It's upsetting but I should still be on track for Christmas :)

    xx

Having put seals on one window, it's now made the other two seem even noisier than before, no idea why that is. I think one side of the bay window being quieter is creating an illusion *sigh* will have to buy more window seals now. For added information.... if you have window film over your windows to stop draughts if you're careful when peeling it off you can stick it straight back on again :D I thought I was going to have to order more of that as well.

  • I need advice. The flat we're buying doesn't currently have an active phone line (owner is only there half the week due to work) but as both me and the boy are huge online gamers internet is a must. We're really far from the exchange and there's currently no fibre (not even virgin or I'd have jumped at it) so until there's an active phone line Be can't even tell if they could provide us service. I don't know what to do.

If we go with BT then reconnection is free but we have to go with them for broadband to get there, I don't want to pay and then HAVE to go with BT because of where we are. This is going to take some thinking.

oh and for comparisons sake, BT with line rental and the package we want works out at £38.77/month for 18 months. Be works out at £38.83/month for 12 months or £31.33/month for 12 months (including their line rental) if we can get reconnection for £40 instead of £130 (online offer but I don't know if that applies if you don't want any service from BT)

    Morning all,

Sorry to hear that Jemma and Jakes-mum are having a hard time. Hope things look up for you soon.

I went to SW last night & lost 2.5lb in 3 weeks.:) I was really happy, but I wish it had been 3lb which would have taken me back into my target zone where I could get weighed for free. It was even more frustrating as the scales zigzagged between 9.12 & 9.12 and a half before finally settling on the higher one. I am determined that next weeks £5 will be the last!! WHY are those last few pounds the hardest to lose

I have a confession to make :o:o. I booked a spa day for £110 for mothers day/my birthday AND I've agreed to go on a girlie weekend to Benidorm in May. Not very DFW but I'm really looking forward to both :rotfl:

DH is still in Scotland & I was awoken last night at 2am by a faint scrabbling/scratching sound coming from under the bed. I think we have a mouse:eek: I was so scared, but I peeked under the bed & couldn't see anything but its full of carp and dust under there. I then couldn't sleep then & ended up on the sofa :( so am feeling less than chirpy this morning.

DH is on his way home though so guess what his first job will be..........

    fallenwiccan,

We had a similar scenario at our house, Can you maybe speak to a local neighbour and see what they are getting!

Well today gets stranger and stranger. Had a phone call on my work number late last night. Turns out it was the police about the accident I reported. Feeling a bit better as I could do was drive past as it was a dual carriageway with no safe stopping points. Minor injuries and whiplash for the woman. Don't feel quite so guilty

Lets see what the rest of the day brings!
