Jake's mum: How is lilly today is she feeling any better or has she had a cartoon day. Hopefully some snow might cheer her up!

Unfortunately there are ALOT of very short tempers in the jakesmum household this morning after another night of musical beds. Am really biting my lip this morning as DH is cruising for a 10 minute tirade on exactly what exhausted means. He stomped off downstairs at 1:30am to watch tv after lily starting crying for the 5th time in 1/2 hr and I finally gave up and just got in her bed with her.
Shes actually not awake but shes scratching in her sleep and its hurting her :( So himslef just lay there and huffed and left his M.E wife (aka me) to keep getting up and trying to stop her scratching, he sometimes reeeeeeeeeeally doesnt get that i start my days feeling how he does after a working week and not sleeping for 2 nights is pushing me to be bed bound. Really dont begrudge looking after my baby but I would like him to get up at least once and try and comfort her . . you know, after ive done about 6 stumbles from our room to hers and sat on the floor in the freezing cold stroking her hair and battling her hands away from her belly :(

Can you tell im really tired :o i'll go away now and try and get over myself

EDIT: realised after my big long rant that I hadnt actually answered your question :rotfl: shes still whingy and its going to be another cartoon day I think, doubt i'll even take her pyjamas off tbh

Think I will use the day to gather some ebay things together. Is it true that you can now list 100 items at 99p or less for free or have I just dreamt that? Other tips would be useful!

Yep that is correct . . . so get listing :rotfl:

Jakes mum, have you tried putting mittens on Lilys hands so when she scratches it's not too harsh? Or is that a silly idea?! Lol I don't have kids can you tell?

As for your husband, bit mean, why do they always think life is ridiculously hard for them?!

As for Kerri with Call Girl, I also watched that last night how funny! Know what you mean about sulky boyfriends :/

Hope everyone's staying safe in the snow, no snow here in Southampton, pretty happy about that!

Love and hugs to everyone that needs them!

Ps:Pedro I hope your friend is looking a bit brighter :) xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.

actually i did think of doing that but at 4 she'd just pull them off :rotfl:

oh everything is always 100 times worse for DH, no-one has been more tired, had worse flu, worked harder or longer than him in the history of man ;)

He's taken jake to his karate test and after shouting me down when i said id write a cheque, oh no he'll get cash out the wall, it'll be easier! has just got jake to ring me and say he's forgotten his wallet :rotfl: sometimes I do look at him and think 'how do you get dressed of a morning

Have been debating about whether to say anything for a couple of days now, but i will. Calamine is horrid for chicken pox, as it's really drying and although initially soothing actually makes the spots worse, and also can make scarring worse as it's so drying. I'd recommend dabbing lavender oil on the spots, it's antibacterial and also very soothing, and also moisturising so stops the itching and also reduced scarring.

If that's too "hippy arty-farty" for you :o then you can buy from the chemist a calamine cream that has moisturising cream mixed in.

Other good remedies are a warm bath with either sodium bicarb in, or a handful or two of porridge oats, both are very soothing on the skin. Seriously, google them. Especially the bicarb.

Hope you manage to get some of these, I guarantee a better night. xx

As for O2, I waited for about 15mins to speak to someone as the shop was packed. I'd seen a big sign saying "Ask us about upgrading early" so I asked and was promptly told that they couldn't do anything in store and I had to call customer services!!! Typical! I'll ring them on Monday from work and see if I can cause some trouble... ;)

The 'upgrade' early thing is dependant on how much you spend with them in a year, my boyfriends bills are huge so he can upgrade 9 months early. I rarely go over my contracted amount so I can only upgade a month early.

They will offer a fast upgrade package thingybob but that just means you have to pay them for the rest of your contract in a lump sum to enable your upgrade.

So either way, they want a ton of money out of you before letting you upgrade!
