sniff...no snow at all in preston all we got was rain...but it was so cold that it turned into ice very quickly
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

  • Not feeling well enough to go out in the snow but my hubby and my sister have taken the kids out. Had a good msn day - defrosted some meat last night - turned out to be stewing steak. Sadly didn't have all the veg to make a stew but had flour, marg and eggs so whipped up a steak pie. Not sure who was more shocked - myself or the family. And I've baked a cake for tea!
  • will be around about 6ish.:rotfl:

    Calories burned with Shoveling Snow

    By Hand

    408 calories per hour

Assuming a body weight of: 150 lbs

No wonder I'm knackered!!! My arms are killing me... Although I think that the Millionaires chocolate dessert with strawberries I've just eaten may have grossly outweighed the calories burned earlier...:rotfl:

Hahahah - yes, I'm sorry UK - I baked a cake and caused it to snow!

I'm enjoying my spreadsheets a little too much at the moment. I've just completed a snowball worksheet so now know what I should be paying to who. Does anyone have one that I can edit? I've downloaded the one that was given to me but just playing around and wondering how overpayments on certain bills in certain months would affect the figures? Anyone else found one that is editable?

Ive been a very good girl tonight, another 10 items up on ebay tonight :D still got a few bits left at the bottom of the stairs but really cant be bothered to do any more :rotfl:

Already had the first wake up of the night from Miss Lily, who couldnt tell me what was wrong or what she wanted so a short 'lie down, no more noise' and she was back off to sleep again :( think she probably just caught one of the spots which wasnt quite enough to bring her round properly but was painful enough to make her cry.

I've just come from a long walk with my mum (1hr 15mins) trudging in the snow and my thighs are burning!

I'm really narked off though as 2 blokes in suits came walking over to us to preach their religion to us at 9pm on a Sunday night in the dark! Talk about making you feel vulnerable... He even had the gall to ask me what puts me off religion! I was seething so walked away quickly before I really vented my anger at him.

On the plus side, our lovely walk has just burned off oodles of calories! xxx
