Flying in to say Wales is !!!!!!!g dangerous for driving. I'm up in Ponty, driving 2 mph to park the car up, put on the brakes, abs goes mental, car skids a few metres!!! Didn't crash though but also didn't like it much.

I'm relieved you're ok Kerri, I skidded myself trying to drop my grandma as close to the door of Tesc0 as possible as I didn't want her to slip in the snow. Skidded sideways and stopped a few inches from another car... My car is now on my drive and will remain there until the snow goes!

Well, as predicted I didn't get anywhere with HSBC or O2. I got the printout from HSBC confirming the value of the rebate but there was no room for negotiation in when I can pay off the debt and still get the rebate. I was not at all surprised and it has made my mind up. I never knew about the £1000 so it's not as if they are asking for it extra. I know that in a way I am giving them £1000 by not waiting out the full term but I cannot stay with them one minute longer than I have to. As soon as I have the money saved up then I'm going to pay off the loan early and be debt free by Xmas!!! I know that some of you would have decided differently in my place but I feel this is the right decision for me. At £1000 over 30months then it's only £33/month to be rid of them and I've spent more than that in the past on gym membership that I never used. I can soon save this back up.

As for O2, I waited for about 15mins to speak to someone as the shop was packed. I'd seen a big sign saying "Ask us about upgrading early" so I asked and was promptly told that they couldn't do anything in store and I had to call customer services!!! Typical! I'll ring them on Monday from work and see if I can cause some trouble... ;)

Hope you're all ok and the snow isn't too bad where you are. It's still a blizzard here... :(

We have a light dusting of snow here in bonny cambridge and its supposed to carry on all day tomorrow :( Had to go into cambridge today as DH FINALLY allowed me to throw away all the clothes hes been hoarding for the last 6 years that he was going to 'slim down into' im saying nothing :shhh: :rotfl:

Well I have a huge pile on the bedroom floor for ebaying and chucked all his manky oil stained work trousers / tshirts in the bin :j :j so we went any got him 3 new tshirts for going out (as his old still fitting tshirts have now become work tshirts) and a could of jumpers as its bally cold out there and hes working on the road constantly. Used some of my love2sh0p vouchers from switching utilities so in total I parted with £2.52 :D

Miss Lily fell asleep on me at about 7pm so is now in bed covered in calamine (oh how she cries when I put it on :( she keeps saying its really cold :() and with a dose of calpol. Hopefully tonight will be a better night as last night i got to play musical beds for 3 hours :( ive also realised having had to get in her bed at one point, how cold her mattress is so ive popped a blanket on there to keep her warm and gone for a nice thick cotton pair of pj's which will hopefully not iritate her spots :(

No debt busting im afraid, but am off to check my 3 ebay sales and tomorrow will sit and list all the stuff ive got :o

Oh forgot to say as well that I parted with a good few pennies today as I spotted some PERFECT knee high boots today. I have been looking for a lovely pair for a few months now and am very picky but these are lovely! Cost me £70 though but I'm going to pay myself back with my birthday money...

However, I'm completely snowed in so no excuse to wear them... :(
