Right well im not sure how its happened but Dh has just gone down the pub with £10 beer money + £5 for his taxi home . . . yet he had his pocket money 3 days ago (and we all know where that went) I think ive been diddled :rotfl:

I also think im being set up for a financial injection toward my DS as the usually stroppy, feet dragging 10 year old when faced with the word 'homework' bounded off after dinner when I informed him he would be doing his second segment tonight (its a 2 week comic strip project that he got on thursday) grabbed his homework book and did the first picture immediately  what is going on!!! I feel very wrong footed :rotfl: :rotfl:

jakes-mum - be wary, it sounds to me like the guys in your house are in cahoots, and they're waiting until your guard is down because you're wrong-footed and distracted, and then they'll strike. Be afraid, be very afraid :rotfl::rotfl:

  • On a roll - I have just listed another 27 items on ebay! I'm sure I'll run out of things to sell soon, I mean, how much tat can I really have in my one bedroom flat??

There are still a couple of cupboards that need tackling though, so who knows what sort of gems I'll find lurking??!

Isn't is funny how the best of intentions go out of the window when you're stressed...? I have been working flat out over the last week and in that time I have eaten rubbish and paying off my debt has taken a back burner. I've been craving sugar constantly and my resolve to lose weight and pay off my debts were pretty much forgotten. Now at least I've realised why all my previous New Year's Resolutions have failed in the past, I officially hate January! Today is a new day and I'm determined to get back on board starting with working out how much debt I'm paying off given that I got paid on Wednesday! My frustration is that I could have paid my loan off now over 2 years early but I lent my sister all my savings at the beginning of January so I can't. Whilst I understand that saving this amount off is amazing and i am proud of myself, I can't help feeling a bit gutted that I can't make that phone call and save money in interest by paying the whole thing off... Never mind, family eh?!

Awwwww. This is why this place is so good. I've attempted to sort out our debts "once and for all" about five times over the last six or seven years and it normally lasts until the first time we fancy a takeaway, or expensive night out and then we think, "Oh sod it." This time keeping posting on here is really helping my motivation and if we fall off the wagon, I know we can come back and get right back on.
