    Yep it feels excellent!!

Not gone as far as closing the account yet, called to cancel but needed to enter my cc number but I cut my card up months ago and always shred my statements!

Can I write to them to cancel?

    Well done!!!

I just hit random numbers until I get through to a person... probably easier than writing to them and you know they got the message then.

Hello! I am still here and still alive (although have a vile lurgy- sore throat and headache)
My little boy was really ill last week culminatng in a trip to A&E on Friday as he had a REALLY nasty virus and was dehydrated by Friday. We had a horrible thought it could have been meningitis because all the symptoms added up and on Friday when his temperature hit 40.3, his neck hurt, he was vomiting and had a pin !!!!! rash all over his chest we went to the hospital. It was very very scary. THey observed him for 3 hours and then let us go and he seems to have the very tail end of the bug now (literally tail end poor little thing- he has the runs)
Im hoping now that this week I will actually get a week with all of them in the correct childcare on the correct day! My youngest started nursery 5 mornings at the start of term and EVERY week since I have had at least one day a week where one of them has been ill and home!
This weeks mission? Find out how much I owe Crapital One, set up a plan to pay it, get back on weight loss wagon and list ebay.
ANd find a spare entire day to catch up on this thread LOL

Oh Idris, I can't even begin to imagine how scared you've been! I really hope you all get better soon. :A If you need anything from any of us then please just ask hun xxx

Sometimes we have to cut ourselves some slack, especially when we're juggling so much at once.

Regards to eating healthly and cheaply when there is so much to do it's difficult to get the right balance, in this case we know the cheapest thing to do it make sandwiches at home, but taking it a step up from there the next best thing is buying a quick and healthy sandwich from the supermarket or meal deal from Boots, either option is cheaper than eating out at lunch time, and more healthy than chocolate and crisps. Plus with the meal deal you don't have to eat the crisps and drink the pop straight away, have tap water with the sandwich and save the junk for a treat a later date.

Let's face it, we can't be 100% good 100% of the time :A

You know, I would have said exactly the same thing to anyone else on here.

It's hard to see the good that you're doing and not beat yourself up sometimes. I couldn't face sandwiches again this week and it's going to be another awfully manic week at work so I bought 3 days worth of lovely salads and fruit from M&S (a rare treat but we were next to one) so I don't have to think about making lunches and finding healthy snacks as it's all ready for me. I've got a lovely Thai Sweet Chilli Chicken Noodle Salad mmmmmmmm.

Oops, just noticed the time, I'm off out for tea again! Social butterfly at the moment :rotfl: but having my usual chicken and bacon salad which is 2-4-1 so very MSE...

See you all later peeps, I cannot wait until Wednesday until I can add up all your totals paid in January!!! :j:j:j

Oh Idris that sounds very scary, I hope you have a smooth week this week *sending hugs*

Just had someone else pay for a fleabay item, so £3.47 paid towards freemans. I know that I will have to pay postage out of my own pocket, but it's better to pay off the debt, or the money would just go towards chocolate bars :)

    Hi Mumtothree3

    Welcome to the challenge.

It's up to you whether you include all your debs or not.

I don't think anybody is including their mortgage unless they are planning to pay it off this year.

I'm not sure if anybody is including their car payments unless they are planning to pay it off as usually with car payments it's a loan that just goes the course.

Why not start off with baby steps and just tackle your credit cards and over draft?

My challenge isn't for all of my debts, I'll still have some debts at the start of 2013 which I'll hopefully pay off by Feb 2013, and then I'll be tackling my mortgage.

So it's really up to you. The main thing is that you're here and willing to tackle your debts, and you're in the right place for that :T
