Hiya, can I re-jig my figures? We've just booked our flights to Florida for November and i've had to put them onto CC card. My aim is to hit 50% by the end of the year - any chance you could put that by my percentage right at the beginning so I don't depress myself each time I look for my percentage?0 -

I've got the end of the weekend blues tonight :(Trying to redo my sums after this weekend's spend-a-thon, but as usual my bank can't keep up with my card being swiped :rotfl:
I would love, love LOVE to be able to fully clear my debt this month, but I'll need to be really careful with the money I've got left over - if I return a couple of things I bought that I'm really not that keen on (yeah that's it, they're going back), then that's another boost to the pot, plus if I can be frugal with the food shopping for the month I could possibly do it..? I've got an ebay auction finishing tonight (literally just one!) that's at £24.85 right now so if that gets to over thirty quid that would be lovely
I suppose if I just aim to be able to pay off half of what's left, then any extra will be a bonus - but I would be absolutely over the moon if next month when I got paid all the money was MINE!!
I really need to get my thinking cap on this month, will be a lot easier after Feb 1st though when all the bills have gone out!
Has anybody else tried to think of extra things they can do this month to make/save extra pennies? :A0 -

Cheap date ideas.... cook Jemma dinner it's what my OH did. Then he asked if I wanted to stay in the spare room....the rest is history haha. Or you could go for a lovely romantic walk
Don't go to the cinema, it's the worst date idea ever.
Haha, cheers for the date advice guys! But I won't be able to take credit for them... I have a suspicion Jemma reads this forum!0 -
Well after what I thought was a good month, I've just checked the bank to see that we have £30 to last us till Tuesday. I really thought we were doing ok and would have £100 extra left to pay off our debts but sadly not. After checking the bank it looks like we wasted £500 this month. So I'm setting myself and the hubby a target of £100, i'll take it out in cash and split it 50/50. I'm gutted we have wasted so much money this month.
We have loads of food in the house and the freezer is full of meat and fish, so plenty of meals there, no buying food and wasting money. Got £4.50 off music magpie, eBay items selling so hopefully some extra money to pay off debts this month.
Well done everyone on the debt busting, so much is been paid off its fantastic! Sorry for the moan!I will stop spending on things I don't need
Lloyds TSB CC - £3577/£3650, HSBC CC - £2425/£2621, VIRGIN CC - £5349/£5405, BARCLAY'S CC - £3700, HALIFAX - £109/£199
