Just popped over the 10% threshold now, chuffed to little mintballs. Looking forward to payday on the 6th so that, i have completed at least one of my challenges and that is to pay one debt off in 2012, so glad it will be so early in 2012, payed money into my credit union today, so my £365 challenge is on the way as well, hopefully at the close of 2012, I will be joining everyone in completing my biggest challenge; to be debt free in 2013. Keep going everyone, if I can do it anyone can.:money:
Update on the interview, it was cancelled on Friday due to the fact that my potential new employer's father was broken into the night before, so re-arranged for 2pm on Monday, wish me luck, think I might need it.:TSealed pot (who knows?)
All debts paid in 2013 :T, apart from overdraft, now to tackle that:)
£3760.00/£
DEBT FREE FOR CHRISTMAS 2014 please:j0 -
Am mega inspired with everyone's updates. I don't get paid until Tuesday, and I should be pleased about that but I am worrying. Darling OH's ex (still married but separated) has taken all of his money out of their joint account, therefore he has nothing. He is self-employed and so money is sporadic. I paid the £500 phone bill for him as they cut off his phone so he wouldn't be able to work (this covered 5 business phones including ex-wife who had run up the huge amount whilst on holiday, she said she'd pay it but she blows hot and cold - she has now been removed from the phone). He has to pay her £500 a month, and £300 a month rent for his flat, and also usual stuff like poll tax, electric etc. He gets really annoyed that I have to keep bailing him out and is getting really down with it all. The plan was that he would move out of his flat in March and move in with me so that financially we would be better off (and so we could be together). I think ex is trying to make his life as uncomfortable as possible so that he will go back. I'm not complaining and I know that it's a difficult situation, he only got the flat so that his ex would let him see their children. I am obviously the anti-christ and am not allowed to infect her children (although I did meet one of them once and we got on great). We talked about it last night and he is going to talk to the children. I know that he wants to move out and move in with me so that we can properly start our life together but not sure if he will do as I don't think that the children will agree to it. I'm just worried about how things will work out and especially about money. if he keeps the flat for another 6 months/year I don't think i'll be able to keep helping him out as I'm already massively into my overdraft, then what?
sorry if it sounds like i'm ranting, really not, just worried about it all. x0 -
morning all!
Received a letter about my PPi claim DH is sorting for me, got another form to sign, hope they sort it soon, seem to have been signing things for months now, grrr!
Miss empty piggy - feel free to rant on here, I've never been in your situation so can't really offer any advice. Hope OH's ex comes round soon and starts making life easier for you both. If he did move in with you, you could always agree to be out when the kids came to visit if that appeases her somewhat. xxx0 -

Well, last night's fear is turning a bit more into excitement. After talking to my mum this morning I have realised I could actually move anywhere in the country for work. Sadly, I still haven't met mr right, so there's absolutely nothing tying me to where I live apart from my job and my house (which I know can be sold...). So now I'm feeling a teensy bit excited that I could have a completely fresh start somewhere for turning 30. Hmmmm...
Anyway, my phone keeps making satisfying beeping noises telling me that my ebay listings are selling! I'm at £30 so far, so hoping for a few more last minute bidsLightbulb moment Nov 2011

um sorry i know you weren't after advice but i think your OH is using you, stop paying his debts for him.
he does not have to pay all that for his ex, just child support/maintenance, sounds to me like he can't get over her. i see you getting really hurt and i hope im wrong, but he sounds like my ex (except im the one with the kids and he has the new gf) but he tries to interfere in my life and still tells me he loves me, i personally can't stand him, but know his gf will get hurt.
sorry to rant xxxx

After yesterday's fiasco with my card in Mr A's, it got declined at 2 bank machines this morning. I called my bank and they informed me that they were concerned my account might be at threat from fraudulent activity so had blocked my card, they were going to contact me...:mad::mad: So now I have to wait for a new card!:mad::mad:
On a brighter note, I've just changed my contract with Orange from approx £32 a month to Sim only £7.50 a month, saving £25 a month:T :j:j:T
Miss information - glad you're feeling more positive today:)0 -
I've moved some more paypal money across so have paid £50 more off my CC. Made another £33 on ebay today so although it's not a fortune, it's a few more pennies in the pot.

My card has also been blocked due to threat of fraud, must have been a batch of cards, they have told me to wait 5-7 working days for new card, so annoying when I need to get cash to pay rent will have to now go in branch to make withdrawal.
Been with bank a long time and never before had problems,March GC £27.86/£3500
