Forgot to mention earlier, hubby has just got a 3% pay rise starting from 1st Jan! Which should mean roughly an extra £20 a month to pay debts off :j:j:j

Well done jakes-mum, when will you write it off? When you have an equal amount in savings? Or something else? Are you going to tell jakes-dad? Wish I was at £0

Ummm Ummm :eek::eek: I dont know :eek::eek: It seems such a leap of faith :o I told Jakes-dad as soon as he got home, I was all pleased with myself and made him sit and listen to each of our credit card balances in turn and THEN the loan and THEN the bank :rotfl: He was pleased but really doesnt get my obsession with it all. If it makes you feel better the other account is still at £900 :rotfl: :rotfl: (and thats still maked as £1k in my figures as well :rotfl:)

We'll catch you if you leap :) My OH gets really bored of me talking finances to him, just wait until he's trying to pay off his 10k though, then he'll ruddywell listen. You could mentally knock of x amount each month until you have the same amount saved, then you have your cushion and no temptation.

I will chat to you all when I'm down in not-so-sunny bournemouth. Going to try to explain to my sister how she can save money.... if she'll listen that is. Oh and buy the olive oil :D
