Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.
  • Ok, first payment of the month goes to....

Next - £84.55 (Est interest is £17.17), so actual amount paid off balance is £67.38. Will pay capitol 1 off later, but need to get the correct figure as I don't want to overpay them!

    so... #304 £67.38/£6962.20 (0.96%)
    £2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013
    DF by Xmas 2013 #027£841.28/£6000 (14.02%) 12/2
    DFD February 2015 £2,303.63/£19,520.26 (11.80%)
  • Can any of you excel whizzes help me work ou a formula for my spreadsheet.

I am doing one for my savings and want to be able to work out a percentage of the total without having to do it manually - the total amount saved is in A4 and I want to put the percentage in B4 (a percentage of £25000). Is there an easy way to do it?

    I'd do...

    =A4/25000

and then format the cell B4 as a percentage

    Brilliant :D

My youngest DS is still not well which means no school for him and no work for me, and as I am SE I have had to cancel all my clients so no pay. I am going to have to tighten up the budget even more this month. Although I do have things selling well on Ebay so it might not all be bad news.

  • Well done to everyone who's managed to pay some of their debts :T and *hugs* to all those who need it.

I'm excited because I've finally managed to sort out exactly how much debt we have (I've never been so organised with my finances in my life - it's only taken me til I'm in my 40s!) and we've been paid, so have paid £333 towards our debt :j!! I'm paying the credit card off where we're paying 19.99% APR first as all other credit card debts and overdraft are on 0% interest. So my final figure is:

    #278 £333/£4515

Thank you to Gemma for running this thread and to all the others in it who offer so much help and support. I really feel like this year I will finally get my finances and debts under control and turn my life around. I don't think I've ever been completely free of debt since I left home at 18 but now feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel now. What a lovely feeling :j.

Afternoon all! I am sooooooooo jealous of everyone's payments. I get paid on the last day of each month, so still have to wait until Tuesday before I can make any payments. Generally feeling pleased though, as I've made it through January without overspending!

My Feb challenge is to pay off my overdraft. It will be really tough, but it will be such a relief when it is finally gone! It will also mean that I can close that account and cut back to two current accounts.
