I couldn't find any shoes to fit last night. I hv large feet and the rest of me is large too! However I did have a v nice curry- the first decent one I had since leaving England-I really enjoyed the naan bread. As it was in a Food Court in a mall, it was cheap too! Nom nom! I also bought a few little bits using a Xmas gc :j
I arrived home and instantly melted and couldn't stay mad as I stepped into a WARM house! Yes-we got the boiler replaced two days ago by a friend of a friend who agreed to take 3 post dated cheques! The children and I love it!!!

KERFUFFFLE, I sent DH to the bank to deposit the kids' Christmas money into their accounts b4 it all got spent. He did not enquire about a line of credit - too embarrassed. I am not having anything to do with the Uk cc but I'll continue to pay off the Canadian one. Even in a few weeks I can notice an improvement in our - ok HIS - spending habits which is a good thing! .

Hi Canucksfan,

OMGoodness, a decent curry, I'd give anything for a decent curry right now, gosh I'm drooling.:rotfl:

I had some proper fish and chips when we were in the UK last March, but we didn't make it to the curry house :( ( next time definately).

You've got a mall? Wow, you must live in a BIG city! :rotfl:

I'm pleased to hear that hubby's spending habits have improved, I guess the CC bills you got yesterday were a reflection of what he was doing a couple of weeks ago, so maybe he has had his LBM, especially if he sees how hard you're trying and the stress you're under, nobody would want to put their partner through un-neccessary stress. So maybe hubby has turned a corner, I hope so. :)

It's good to hear you've got a boiler at last, how you've managed I don't know, I think I would have used it as an excuse to get on the next plane home :o

Well, I'll be able to post with a debt payment soon once I've banked the money, but other than that it's going to be very quiet on the Kerfuffle front as I've already spent next weeks housekeeping (Fri-Thurs), so I can safely say I am absolutley S-K-I-N-T skint!

ETA: Yep, $2.38 in my purse (approx 1.49gbp) to last until next Friday.:o
• Morning all! Just off to work, but have played around with my snowball a little as the estimated interest it was calculating was higher than the actual amounts, so have worked out the interest rates myself, with my calculator and put the amended ones onto the snowball and another few months have been shaved off! :j

Also, got a letter from the H*lifax yesterday saying that they are putting our interest rate up. Thanks to this site I now know I can tell them to shove their rise where the sun doesn't shine (:rotfl:) and close the account. We do bank with them though (us and our hefty overdraft) so am going to get hubby to ring Virgin as we've just cleared that card and ask them if they will do us a good rate for balance transfers and then move the Halifax balance to Virgin.

Hope everyone has a great day, see you tonight! x

• Well got paid yesterday and sat down to work out how much I could use to pay off my debt, went online to pay some off my cc and the balance on my card had gone up as I'd forgot about a purchase that's now gone on. So I've adjusted my totals and starting again :0( not put off though really because reading everyone's messages on here really helps me stay focused on my debt free day! Someone bought me pink champagne for my bday last month and im saving it for then. Keep going everyone and have a good weekend :)

Hey DorsetGirl.

I'm at the end of my debt free journey and so have come to the point where my debt payments are very set to reach the target of DF in October. I'm paying £160 off sant@nd3r every month so that it'll be cleared before 0% ends in early June and £100 + minimum payment to clear v1rg1n.
DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!
Proud to have dealt with my debts!

Morning DF'ersssssssssssss

Lily is currently trying to match words to pictures, she cant actually read so im using this as a great excuse to get her to recognise letters :rotfl: we were trying to find Dog and Cat, and im sat holding the right card, going D O G, D O G, pointing each of the letters out, and she said 'dog?' now im not sure if this is piecing the word together or she knew thats what she was looking for :rotfl: Doesnt really matter as shes enjoying guessing :D:D

Just trying to give her a head start as she starts school in september :( sooooooo not looking forward to that :(:(

Hoping for my credit card bill to fall through the door today as I have a nice BIG amount to chuck at it (well big to me :D)

Be back later and if anyones got any good word learning games for pre schoolers, would love to hear them :D
