Yes - it should show after 9pm on Tuesday. I am always puzzled why if I make a payment via internet banking its there that evening but if I pay it directly to them it takes two days to show. Dont worry you havent done it wrong :)

  • Hi all,

Wow this is truly addictive! Spending hours making minor adjustments to my spreadsheet :o.

Bought a Sun newspaper yesterday as I've started to collect the tokens for the £9.50 holiday (normally I don't see the point in buying a newspaper as the news is free on the TV :)) and saw an advert for Aldi. I haven't shopped there in over 6 months as I normally work at the weekends and hubby has the car during the week, it's a bit difficult for me to get there. Anyway, checked out both the Aldi and Lidl websites and then went on mysupermarket.co.uk to check prices against Asda etc and I could not believe the difference!

OK, some things are cheaper at Asda like cheddar cheese, but most things are nearly half the price, so I reckon my usual weekly spend of around £60 is more likely to cost me only £40 by going to Aldi and/or Lidl AND we can save on the delivery fee! Roughly over the month that's about £80 - £100 pounds, that we can put towards our debts!

Have managed to get OH to agree to taking me there tomorrow morning as I'm not in work til 4pm, so happy days :rotfl:

Just hope they have everything I want as I know their deals sell out quite quickly.

Oh dear, I'm doing so pants at this weight loss thing. My mum is doing really well and always has calories to spare but I'm continuously going over my allowance and craving sugarry things! It doesn't help that I'm still full of a cold so can't do any exercise!!!

On the plus side, I've just hit my 5th NSD in a row and already have 9 NSD's this month so well on target for 16! I really hope that my sister can pay me the money I lent her back quickly so I can pay off my car loan this month. That will be amazing as it won't cost me as much as the total debt figure payable as I'll get the reduction on the interest for paying over 2 years early...

I'm less concerned about my weightloss than my debt. I was just as bad with my money spending but it's taken time to change my habits and I just have to do the same about the weight loss.

Jakes-mum - you're party for Lily sounds wonderful, she will absolutely love it! I wish my mum had been as create as you xxx

Right... I'm on the laptop and laughing about the fact I can't type a rant using a tablet but I can apparently type a rant on a laptop with no spacebar (it broke 4yrs ago and is just the rubber nobble haha).

    Anyway...
    RANT
When I was made redundant in June 2010 I lent my sister £2500(ish) to pay off her catalogues, stupidly thinking this would mean she didn't get herself into further debt. She agreed to pay me £25 a week to pay off the debt. Over time this has been knocked down by her, not by me, and she now pays £50 a month. I only paid it off as she was about to give birth to my nephew and I didn't want to see him go without because she'd got herself into debt. I could have paid off all my debts with this money at the time.
Anyway, she then went and booked herself a £5k (total inc interest) boob job. Obviously she didn't see paying me back as a priority. I put a television and a blu-ray player on my sisters kays catalogue and paid her £200 a month to clear this over a year. She was meant to keep the catalogue clear and just pay off what I owed, this way when I finished paying she was still debt free. Instead it turns out she pockets half the money and has been getting red letters from them saying she owes £900 for the past few months.
My rant isn't about this though, my rant is about my father paying off the catalogue for her!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!! She's obviously not learnt that it's bad to be using credit, she hasn't learnt any lessons about money by him bailing her out again, all she's learnt is that she can rack up debts and people will bail her out. She has to pay him £25 a week (heard that before) to clear the debt by December. I just don't understand why my Dad has done it, he's meant to be a responsible parent and should know that by bailing her out he's not doing her any favours. It would have been kinder to just let her sink. Really annoyed about this.
