  • Just a very quick message to say I've paid another £500 of the credit card this morning so I am now

    #269 £528 out of £15978.54

The first payment of our loan isn't due until March hence the £0 of that however, I am building payments up so I can pay more than is due on that first date.

Jakes-mum - you're party for Lily sounds wonderful, she will absolutely love it! I wish my mum had been as create as you xxx

Im just hoping they all have a good time :o The total number of friends coming is now 14 (including Miss Lily) so a nice amount to make it feel full but not having massive queues of bored 4 year olds waiting their turn on the games.

I have enough prizes on some games for them to have 3 goes :eek:. My livingroom is full of punch balloons! you've got to wade through them :rotfl:.

Got to take Jake to town now as ive just realised he hasn't got his sister a birthday present and her birthday is tomorrow :eek:

Can I ask peoples opinions please :D One of my overdrafts has been sat at £400 now since november. DO we think I should declare the £600 paid off now or wait a bit longer?

Good luck today jakes-mum it sounds fantastic. Hope they all have a lovely time.

Dorsetgirl sorry about your mum. I hope you don't mind me saying but I wouldn't give her a penny more. Like my sister our kindness isn't helping them, however much we love them we need to let them fall down. That way they'll learn eventually as you can't keep doing these things.

No debt payments today, but fleabay is over £31 so far. Forgot I need to pay for postage, do OH is loaning me the money for that *snigger*

  • Kerri that sounds really frustrating. I suppose you can only bve responsible for your own life, and you're making massive amounts of progress towards paying off your debt. I'm an only child so luckily am spared the annoying siblings! I did have a stepmother from hell for a bit though, who spent her days buying stuff from QVC which she never used and I used to get sooooo angry about that!!

Anyway, I weighed myself this morning and I am not 202.5lbs, so I''m thrilled to have dropped a couple. No payments for me this week as I realised I hadn't factored in the interest on my old CC where I thought I had cleared the balance. I transferred it all and assmued the balance was then £0 but after the tranfer they applied £12.82 of interest, which I didn't pay as i didn't know it existed . Then they applied a £12 late payment fee!! I rang them up and explained, and they did knock off the late fee. So the money I would have paid off ended up going on a different balance! Never nind though, I now definitely only have the one CC with the balance i am slowly chipping away at. Really lookingn forward to payday to see if I have made any inroads in to my overdraft.

So now I'm about to drive down to the coast and have a brisk walk along by the sea to blow the cobwebs away. Come home via Tesco where I have a tiny list for this week's groceries, plan some lessons and throw myself on to the sofa. I hope everyone's enjoying the beautiful sunshine (but wrap up warm!!)

Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.
  • My NSD went out the window yesterday as our microwave and kettle decided to break, so £50 on them and OH wanted some beer and food so total £73 spent, I was doing so well, but tomorrow is another week.

Pedro I hope your training is going well and good luck for your first run in May, I did my first run yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Kerri Sorry to hear about your sister, we have friends like that, I have to bite my lip its so annoying. We have one set of friends who had £30k of debt so went bankrupt and lost their house etc a year ago. However now brag about how much money they have and are spending madly again, buying really expensive stuff and knowing we have debt telling us about holidays and how much cash they have now. I want to slap them (but won't haha)

Jakes-mum Good luck for the party it sounds fantastic, I'm sure the kids will love it.
I will stop spending on things I don't need

    Lloyds TSB CC - £3577/£3650, HSBC CC - £2425/£2621, VIRGIN CC - £5349/£5405, BARCLAY'S CC - £3700, HALIFAX - £109/£199

Pay off all your debt by Christmas 2012 - number #145 £608.00/£15,313
  • can't wait to hear about the party success jakes-mum :)
  • Hope it's all going well Jakes-Mum!

Have got 6 items ready to send tomorrow for fleabay that have been paid for. 19 of my items sold, have relisted some of the ones that were 99p but a couple of them I wanted to start higher. Sold my friends camera on Thursday, but still haven't had payment. I've sent two invoices... on the second one I put a note to say if you are having trouble paying or no longer want the item just let me know and we can sort something out but still no reply. How long would you guys leave it before either disputing it or offering it to the next highest bidder? I know it's only been 3 days so am willing to wait longer but not sure how long to leave it.

Have just noticed work have me down as sick on wednesday which should have been my first day back. The gp on friday said I'm fine but someone suggested I go to an aviation doctor to double check as I'm still in a bit of pain and it still doesn't feel right. If I am definitely fine to work I'll call work and see if they can put me back on my duty as i'll be losing more money :( The aviation dr will cost me but I guess we can't put a price on our health right? If I go back to work too soon I'll risk bursting it again and causing permanent damage, which would mean I'd have to quit my job immediately with no notice. Argh.
