Well i am putting saving on hold 100% until i am debt free completely!! £738.51 paid off debts today...I am just all out to get debt free by the mid way point of the year. If i can pay off £13,500 debt, while paying £2k for holiday to America and £1,000 on car repairs i can most defiantly save up £15,000 in the last 6 months of the year.

    So new total is £1,449.32/£13,500

So i have paid off 10.74%!! Aim is to have paid off 25% by 20th of Febuary(£3,375), 50% by end of March(£6,750)...should manage that if nothing that is not in the budget creeps up and i get paid back the £1600 i lent family member....as promised. Also even though i get paid fortnightly i sometimes get paid 3 times in one calander month. Will happen in March and November this year so feels a bit like a free extra pay as all my outgoings are stuff that i pay once per calander month. So March i should pay alot and November i should save alot!! If i have plenty work on i am aiming to save £5,000 in November alone.

Just need to get rid of this debt first!!
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

and breeeeeeeeathing . . . I know your all right I just want it to be perfect :o going to set up all the games later to make sure I have everything, had a slight panic yesterday when I couldnt find the treasure chest but it was behind a box so all good.

Doing sandwiches, sausage rolls, butterfly cakes, slices of swiss roll and carrot sticks for the food with squash to drink. Dont want to do too much food as they will be eating at 3pm and im not sure they will be that hungry. Adopted mum made cake number one yesterday for me to pre cut and wrap in napkins. Cake two for blowing the candle out on is bought and in the cupboard.

Must remember to tell mum we need her clothes horse for lucky socks :o

  • Hi all!

Well done on the debt busting and money saving!!

Jakes-mum: The party sounds amazing! You're giving me ideas for my 30th in a few years ;)

So, here's my update, made my regular payments yesterday:

    #99 €634.68/€12,051.15 = 5.3%

Since my last update, I've had to rethink everything - we may have to emigrate towards the end of this year, which throws my debt free plan a bit out! OH can't get work here at all, which means I have to cover pretty much all regular bills/rent etc!
So my new aim is to get rid of the credit card debt early - think its doable by about August (snowball says October), and then save to leave the emerald isle :(
I don't think I'll be completely debt free by this Christmas - but will be way closer than I would have been before!

    Onwards and Upwards!!

Did you make it via internet banking or payment on the site?

If you did it via internet banking it should show on Monday after 9pm (If you make the payment before lunchtime it will show that evening,. otherwise it will be the following evening not including weekends). If you did it via their online payment system it takes 2 working days for it to update so it should show wednesday evening.

I feel like it is one step forward and two steps back :o
Just made a payment to my stupid Vanquis card of £30...
Whilst I was there I signed up to e-statements (it wouldnt previously let me do this for some reason!) anyway once I signed on I realised that account balance is more than I thought :(

So I am checking in with an amended total amount....

    #265 - £30/£4478.17

Also, looking at this statement I am paying £9.50 for a 'repayment option plan' each month.... what is that?! And they have also added £16.26 for 'billed deffered finance charges' what are those?!?

Oh dear, wish I had been looking at these statements more closely :(

    Thanks for reading :)
