    2 for February please.

I slept well and the tingles had gone. Glad to hear there are clean hamsters out there - well done!!

Mel, we've all been there. I think Maman's advice is good, I find that feeling guilty and annoyed with myself takes energy better used for changing the future. ALthough I don't have the answers yet myself, so I hope that doesn't sound preachy!

Big morning half asleep hug to you going out there (couldn't do this inperson right now - just as well it's over the internet! Morning breath, ya know!?)

    Morning :hello:

1 more AFD please Bearacus. My alcohol spreadsheet diary tells me that is my 4th AF Thursday night in a row:) I heart.png my AF spreadsheet; it's nearly 2 and a half years old.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

He would usually have a minimum of 2 bottles of wine, each containing around 9.5 Units. TOTAL = 19 units per day

Last night he had 6 bottles of beer each containing 1.4 Units. TOTAL = 8.4 units :)

Because it's so gassy he doesn't drink as much and it's not as strong as the wine. He's not a spirit drinker. Will have the occasional Jack and Coke but wouldn't drink it in place of wine, which is a good thing. Wine is "his drink" and he just drinks it like water.

I've challenged him to go "wine free" during february and I really hope he sticks to it.

Thanks MrsR. That's interesting as it's a bottle of wine a night for me - or six beers I suppose. I think I'd struggle with just three beers though. It's almost easier to just not drink at all than to reduce my alcohol intake.

Thats exactly how it is for me. I'm much better having completely AF days. If I can get down to drinking one day a week I will be happy.

  • Hi
Creeping in with my tail between my legs :o.
I haven't been around for a couple of weeks (at least) and have been drinking every day and I don't have any obvious explaination for it. I had a couple of drinks on a day when I hadn't planned to drink (it was the SNC). Nothing has changed, I haven't experienced any unusual degree of stress or increased social occasions but having drunk a moderate amount on an evening when I wasn't going to drink I thought "sod it I've failed anyway so I might as well drink". I've been back to my old ways and have drunk at least a bottle of wine (sometimes two) each evening; it has to stop! However, I would like to go TF for February please Shaggy and see how things go. I have a mental target but I'm not revealing it.
    Mel

Hi there Mel glad to see you back. You and I started on here the same week and I've missed you:) Good luck with the TF. I had a good 1st month in November and relished the targets then set a very do-able (I thought) 16/31 for December, blew it almost immediately and spent the whole month in "sod it" mode. I felt like a big fat failure and very nearly crept away but tried a TF Jan and it worked brilliantly. I did drink - but because I hadn't "failed" it was easier to see it as a one off and not drink the next day. I really hope it works for you :T:T
  • Ok, own up. Who's stolen MrR and put this non-wine drinking person in his place :D

Last night he had to go back in to work for a couple of hours. He was pretty p1$$ed off about it so I thought that would be the end of the February Challenge. I was wrong!!!!
He did say he almost stopped at the shop to buy a bottle of wine but would have only been letting himself down if he had :j:j

I know he's never gonna stop completely, and I would never ask him to. But this is such an improvement

Have a Happy Friday everyone :D
