Morning :hello:
I was AF last night! What a difference a diet makesMy OH even joined me (he's not a big drinker - usually quiet happy with one pint). We just watched a movie (Unknown - Liam Neeson - a good saturday night film). Happy Days
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

I had AF last night. It is true the difference it makes. I actually got up at 6. So far I have put on 3 washes and the dish washer. I am no way going to hit my target but will persevere. 7/20 in total so far this month. Oops.0

Morning all!
Its 7am on a Sunday morning and i am up and awake!! The difference not drinking heavily makes is amazing!
I was pretty irritated to wake up with something that felt like a hangover this morning :-/ Must have been the alcohol-free beer and Szechuan food. Still, this'll probably go away much quicker than a real hangover!0 -
I wasn't AF last night and am really regreting it this morning:mad:. I'd been 15 days AF in a row and was feeling great - cheerful, energetic and the bells were getting fainter ad fainter. It's been a h*ll of a week though and my d-i-l is in a very bad way and taking it out on everyone close to her. She's a herion addict and heavy drinker and after she'd been very nasty again yesterday afternoon I came home and opened the wine. It helped at the time - a lot - but I feel sick and dizzy this morning and very sad that I did it:(.
I always thought I was aiming to cut down but I'm beginning to wonder if I'm happier not drinking at all. Crazymum - you said something about being free and I like that. This morning the first thing I thought about when I woke up was drink - how much did i have, will I drink tonight etc which was how it was every day and I'm thinking now it would be good to lose those chains. The hard bit is going to be tonight - I always want to drink the next day - send me some "Don't Do It Anna" vibes - pleeese0 -
Gardenanna - big hugs to you (((( hugs))) and sending lots of dont do it vibes for tonight xx
Rachel- Sorry you have such a crappy week (((hugs))) . hoping the car doesnt cost to much and so glad to hear your mum is feeling a little betterx

12 AF please Shaggy, and thanks for keeping tabs on us
The longer I go without a drink the better I feel but there are still some problems to overcome. At the moment the biggest is that I'm bored in the evening. I have lots of things that I enjoy and that I could do, I just can't be bothered to do themLast night I found myself waiting to go to bed! Today I'm going to decide what my pastime will be for the evening and do it whether I feel like it or not - sometimes a kick up your own bum is the only way
Boredom is NOT a good reason to have a drink, or ten.
