  • yesterday was AF and today will be too so can i have 2 more AFDs please Shaggy?
  • Well lovely husband has said he will drive me to pub and collect me which takes away the walk vs taxi dilemma AND means I can wear my new killer heels (shallow?moi?) I cant get hold of birthday girl but know which pub she'll be in. I have arranged to meet hard work friend at 7.30 and i have a get out of jail card cos husband doesnt want to be late picking me up. Part of my personal challenge/reason for joining this thread was to try and find my stop button- it was never my intention to completely give up so this night out could be a "Stop Button Challenge!" where I manage a (well needed) night out but can still function tomorrow!

    Evening all,

I've had a slight wobble today. No fear I am a weeble and I don't fall down!

To cut a very long story short came into a fair bit of money today which I have been battling and waiting for a long while. I was so bloody chuffed I wanted to celebrate, BIG TIME.

Really fancied a bottle of bubbly, decieded on some highlights (Hair rather than hot choc!) instead

Hoping everyone's where they want to be.....well done that winter gardener (can't remmeber who now -sorry. I'm braving the allotment Sunday)

    Good morning all

365 - good news about the money and well done for not succumbing to the bubbly!

crazymum - yes my evening was nice and relaxing. Just what I needed.

Iristhedragon - hope you're evening went as planned too and that you did indeed locate your stop button!

Had the relaxing evening I planned. So relaxed, in fact I was in bed by 8.30pm and OH assures me I was snoring by 8.40! Finished my book (and glad I didn't have wine as was sobbing by the end of it anyway!!:rotfl:)

Mum rang last night as we were supposed to be going shopping today. She'd finally done what I'd been nagging her to do and had gone back to the doctors as she's still really poorly. The doctor has said she now has bronchitis and pleurisy :(. So instead of going out me and Piglet are taking some board games, some cakes and a bunch of flowers to cheer her up.

Hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend

    Miss P

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Morning all!

365- well done on resisting the alcohol! Its great that you did something nice for yoursef instead of buying something that you knew you would ultimately regret. So give yourself a big pat on the back today!

Well, last night wasnt AF for me, but i have no clue what you people have done to me! Friday night was always my 'bottle of wine night' and i didnt ever think i'd be able to get out of that mindset.
Well, for the 2nd Friday in a row, i only had a little bit. I had 2 glasses last night, then had a cup of tea and went to bed!! Yes, me!!
I am actually really pleased as i found i have found my 'Stop Button'!!

I hope everyone had a nice night last night, whatever they were up to!

I woke up nice and early this morning, and am going into town to get my oldest son some new trainers for school as he came home with holes in his yesterday!!!

    Have a great day all!

Thank you to everyone sending hugs this morning - oh boy do I need one. Hideous night of abusive phone calls and texts from my drug and alcohol addicted d-i-l. I feel like I've been run over by a bus this morning. On the plus side I didn't reach for the bottle though my OH did and got very drunk so by midnight I was trying to cope with her calls AND his drunken reaction to them.

    3 more AFDs please Shaggy

:( Sending you a big smiley_emoticons_hug.gif and well done on resisting the booze....

On the money :T:T:T:T and resisting the temptation to celebrate with Champagne! Constant vigilance!
