PLEASE PUT YOUR TARGET AFDs IN A BOLD RED FONT and good luck! (and if I've made any mistakes, don't be shy, please let me know!)
EVERYONE WELCOMEWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Have read some of the last few pages - my what lovely things to read half asleep on a Monday morning.
I would like to go for 3 nights on the SNC this week please Bearacus. Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hi All!!!
I'm yet to do a proper catch-up, but after having a quick look at the Targets List it looks to me that everyone is doing really well!!!!!! :T:T:T:T:T:T
I want to give a particular shout out to all the newbies who joined us at the start of the year. Lots of people make New Years resolutions to cut down on drinking/go on a diet/get more exercise, etc. But by being on here and getting the extra support you have shown that resolutions can be stuck to. And if any of you have got friends/family that have ever shown concern for your drinking, I can honestly say they will be so pleased for you. Even if you haven't told them you are cutting down people around you will notice, and they will so proud of you.
I feel like I'm waffling a bit ( I think I'll blame it on the tiredness) so I'll stop now.
Have a Happy Monday Everyone

Hi everyone, happy Monday !!
Just been reading up on lots of wonderful AFness, well done everyone.....great achievements given some of you are struggling with tough times. Hugs to you all.
I had a bit of a boozy weekend, but all planned so not going to kick myself too hard. Had a lovely couple of days away with old friends to celebrate some milestone birthdays - forgot to pack the communal stop button so felt more like I'd been hit with the milestone on Sunday morning
Onwards and upwards though - need to stay totally AF now for the remainder of Jan to hit my target.
So reporting 18 AFDs so far pls Shaggy and can I join for a full monty SNC please Bearacus0 -
Afternoon all
Could I sign up for the full monty on the SNC this week please Bearacus? Have two funeral "do's" to go to Thursday but don't intend drinking at either of them.

Add me to the SNC please.
So i went out Friday night and when I arrived at the pub 5 girlfriends were there who are all proper AlkiesReal ruddy faced 2 cans before morning school run types. SO I had 3 glasses of red wine. Before I left I got Mr Dragon to agree to collect me and I said "I will be early and I wont go to **** house" because **** lives opposite the pub and we all tend to carry on at hers and she is a MAJOR drinker. SO I hae d 3 glasses of wine in the pub and then went to the shop and bought a bottle and went back to **** and shared it with a gorlfriend. I then had a beer
as we'd finished the wine.
the elusive stop button clearly evaded my clutches.
Mr collected me and I was slurring and repeating myself and I am sooooo ashamed. I got home and poured a massive glass of red wine (but was too drunk to drink it) and then woke up Saturday feeling WRETCHED. SO ashamed, disapointed, carp. Interestingly my friend that has also been pretty AF since New Year fell off the wagon Saturday night and text me saying she HATED it so we are both back AF and have realised our social circle *may* morph somewhat but hey! thats ok
I was AF yesterday though (had to have 2 glasses Saturday to take away the collywobbles from the night before) and feel fab again today. I will work on finding my stop button, but Im drifting closer and closer to (very) occasional drinking.
Im sorry to post and run but have to go to work in a mo but needed to confess xxxHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.
