AF last night so that makes 13 AFD and will not be leaving the house for the rest of the day, no alcohol on premises, so I'm putting down today as AF as well - that's a whole flipping fortnight :j

    Shaggy 14 AFD please

That, of course, is the most important news, but as this is MSE I've been tracking £ not spent on alcohol less £ spent on other distractions - a couple of cheap computer games - and the savings over the fortnight come to over £90 :eek::eek: Food for thought, eh?

Think it may be time to repost this, originally posted on here by a special someone ;) and never forgotten.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

    Marianne Williamson

and on that note I'm off to fat club!

  • AF tonight so 8 please Shaggy. Had a lovely long chat with an old friend who I haven't spoken to for a number of years. She lost both of her parents to cancer and knows how I'm feeling.

Thanks for all our good wishes guys x. Just taking it all one day at a time at the mo. She's having good days and bad days.

Don't worry Idris, we all fall off that wagon sometimes. It's making sure you jump back on that matters!!

AF for me tonight. Pleased to say that my DH is joining me. He's had 2 AF days a week and hugely moderate (like 1 glass a night) in between since that publicity about AFness a few weeks ago. We must be saving a fortune!!

10 AF for January and 1 for the SNC please.
