    Morning :hello:

I had an AF Friday!!! I haven't had one of them for a while. OH was going to pub with friends but they were going so early (just after 6) that I decided to stay at home.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

In preparation of having friends round this eve i did a tally of the amount of wine we have, we have 5 bottles of fizz, 3 red, 6 white and 4 rose. I know this sounds weird, but the more im AF the more i want to purchase wine. I think the reason is 2 fold. 1 is to prove to myself that i can be AF and still have temptation around me and 'not cave in' and secondly i always liked the idea of having a full wine rack, full of actual wine and not random half empty bottles of juice, soda, gathering dust :rotfl:

I just can't have wine in my flat - I just find it too tempting. So I've bought a Le Creuset wine block which I can fold a way when the wine's all gone...

Well, ladies and gents, i have no idea what you have done to me! I planned on drinking a bottle of wine last night, ike my 'normal' friday evenings.
But instead, i drank 1 glass and then decided i didnt fancy it, and stuck to tea instead!!!

I know what you are thinking (because i am thinking the same): who am i, and what have i done with the real Cleggie!! :)

    Really pleased with myself!

I hope you all had a ncie Friday evening!
  • 13 days AF please Shaggy - and well done to you and Bearacus, you seem to quietly keep scores for everyone and maintain all your targets :T
    Well done Cleggie :T

Hope everyone has a beautiful Saturday :)

365days - behind the scenes you are helping me more than you could ever know, the book 'No Big Deal' is taking impact massively. After reading it lots yesterday, with the help and strength given by others, last night AF was an absolute pleasure. I tread carefully and cautiously but with hope for a beautiful future.
  • 13 AF days for me please shaggy - always a bit of a relief to get through another Friday!!

I also want to say a genuine MASSIVE thank you to shaggy and bearacus without whom I think a lot more of us would be struggling for motivation! :)
  • Morning all. Am very pleased got through a FRIDAY night with no wine!! Despite being exhausted and wanting to relax in front of my roaring log fire.Off to the GYMN again, have already lost 3lbs this week, only another 3 stone to go. have decided must keep busy, too cold to garden so a spot of house cleaning will have to do. Thanks to everyone for the replies/suggestions.

    3 days AF:T
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life!
No buying unnecessary clothes even if they are reduced.

Me too, went to cinema with DH, went to Italian and shared a bottle, came home DH poured me a glass wine, sipped it_pale_, gave it to him and made a cup of tea! That's exactly the sensible attitude I've tried to acheive. No longer need to come home and hit the bottle.

Well done on the weightloss peterbunny, great start:T cleaning is a good distraction technique as well as exercise.

Hope everyone's having a good Saturday!

    Hmmm

determined to stay AF tonight. Had drinks last night and although I don't feel too bad this morning, I am extremely thirsty and feeling cross with myself particularly as I had friday wine on Thursday night?! so only 3/5 SNC Bearacus and 8/13 for me overall Shaggy

    Grrr must try harder
