  • 4 more afd's please Shaggy.

Very weird here tonight. My OH who drinks every day, has never tried to cut down and won't entertain the idea that he drinks more than "normal" is AF!!! Last night too - he's doing the 2 days off. Last night he was very cheerful about it - tonight he's like a bear with a sore head but I'm so chuffed. It will cut his consumption by over 25% this week and that MUST be good mustn't it.

Glad to see you cleggie and well done on tonight's AFness :T if it's any consolation I'm really struggling this week too....if I'm honest I'm behaving like a brattish, hormonal, teenager at the moment...I'm angry at the world that I 'can't' have a drink in the week - and to get over the cravings I'm eating like a pig so will end up being all sulky about that too no doubt :o

Don't beat yourself up over this.....set yourself realistic goals...teeny tiny steps might work better for you - they did for me, I started by cutting out a couple of days in the week and built it up from there....the SNC is a lifeline for me as it gives me those bite sized chunks to work towards. You've clocked up 10/11? AFD's this month already - that's a fantastic achievement - be kind to yourself xx

So I was AF last night and have been again tonight but my mood is just dreadful - had no idea it would be this hard to climb back on the wagon after Xmas :o
I'm now on 7 AFD's please shaggy and have completed my first full monty of the year bearacus - let's hope it's the first of many.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Just running in to say 2 more for both the SNC and AF jan

Cleggie - hun its a long and winding road, I am hopeless at sticking to targets and have often felt like I'm not doing it the right way - but I do know that in the years that I've been on here, on and off, when I've been posting I've drunk significantly less than when I have been on my own not communicating with you guys about what I'm drinking. So keep talking, cutting down is a huge step.

    Take care,

    Mari xx

Hi all. Not AF as I planned tonight, but I went to fat club and reached my final taget (1.7 stone off:j) So I went out to buy some more baccy (I know, dreadful habbit but I started again when mum was diagnosed last year). Now in the 8's so well chuffed :D

Anyway, went out tonight and had a few drinks. There was a chap in the club that I knew but not by name, and he'd been in there since 6 drinking whiskey. I was a bit unsure what to do, but as he was going to drive back to the next village, I called the police and reported him. I know I drink a lot on a night out, but I'd never drive.

Feeling quite guilty as I know him and his mates (DH says I have done the right thing and that he would have done the same). What do you lot think? Am dreading the comeback if it comes back to me, though I didn't give my name

It's the same here too gardenanna, my DH had 2 AF days and the last two nights he's had just a single glass with supper. So in 4 nights, only 2 glasses of wine drunk our home (plus the one I poured down the sink). Think what we're saving!;)

7AFDs for January and 3 for the SNC please.

I think you definitely did the right thing rachel, imagine how you'd feel if you didn't and he killed someone or himself!!

    :T on getting to target.
