    Morning :hello:

Went to the pub after work yesterday - the bells clanged but I thought "No - I want to complete the SNC!" and I also wanted to reduce my rolling average of units - so I had a cappuccino! aureole.gif So it's 1 more for the SNC Bearacus making 4.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

There was a chap in the club that I knew but not by name, and he'd been in there since 6 drinking whiskey. I was a bit unsure what to do, but as he was going to drive back to the next village, I called the police and reported him. I know I drink a lot on a night out, but I'd never drive.

Feeling quite guilty as I know him and his mates (DH says I have done the right thing and that he would have done the same). What do you lot think? Am dreading the comeback if it comes back to me, though I didn't give my name

You soooo did the right thing. How would you feel if he'd hit/killed someone?

I'm angry at the world that I 'can't' have a drink in the week - and to get over the cravings I'm eating like a pig so will end up being all sulky about that too no doubt :o

So I was AF last night and have been again tonight but my mood is just dreadful

That pretty much sums me up too this week May, well put!

I was AF on Tuesday and Wednesday, and not last night. I am in an obnoxious mood this morning. And I scarfed all sorts of food too. Why?!

I'm on 7/13 for Jan please Shaggy (yeah, thumbs up time and 2/4 for the SNC please Bearacus)

As I write that I realise I'm over half way to target and have managed more than half the month AF so far (my 'secret' goal for the year) so that's my best result for months. I will try not to be a grumpy pants all day. Have a good Friday 13th everyone.

    Morning all.
Thanks so much for the support.

I think that it might be best if i go TF for now, and then just cut it down. I know for a fact that i will be drinking this evening, because i want to, so i will report back on monday.
Have a great weekend everyone! I am hoping i can keep Saturday as AF.

12 AF for me please shaggy.

I have been doing a lot of running which has helped to keep me from drinking, partly because I have changed the routine of opening a bottle and settling in for the evening and partly because I have another focus. Last night was the first night I had a real crave for a glass of beer since early on in the first week. It was after a session at the gym, I used the advice on here and recognised that I was hungry and the crave was more about those discomforts.

There are times when I miss the idea of having one or two glasses of a realkly nice quality beer and think what harm would that do one evening. Unfortunately that was not the reality, as my habit involved doing that every evening and very seldom was it one or two and more like 5 or 6.

I plan on running a marathon this year, have always wanted to do one, and see alcohol as the major risk to me doing the necessary training. I will need to think what happens post January but I have a few more weeks before I get there.

i hope everyone else has a relaxing day.

aside from eating like a gannet and putting half a stone on I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself as I've not drunk and I've been out twice this week; once in a pub and once in friends hot tub. :T

here's to more control this weekend. happy friday 13th everyone :p
