I know just what you mean Mari. I think my body is adjusting too. Also I was reading online how people who drink too much tend to neglect their teeth or don't notice something's amiss because the drink masks it. And NOW i've stopped drinking I got a cheek like a hamster and it hurts! Think must be an absess. Typically the dentist was shut on Thursday til this Monday! Anyway, off to the dentist hopefully on Monday to sort it out. On the plus side, I've managed to sort out my pperwork today and yesterday even posted 2 important forms that ordinarily I would've left to the last minute and had a really stressful time sorting out! So that's positive. Got a few phone calls to make on Monday about my N.I contributions (used to be self employed 2 years ago and haven't managed to tell them yet I am no longer, that's how organised I am whilst drinking!!!) and get my password for self assessment online tax return. After I've done that, I'll actually be sorted!!!!!
Have a great day everyone. Little man and I are off to mystery shop lunch at the wetherspoons so that should be fun!!! X

  • Morning

Just a quick thought while reading through this morning.

Before the beginning of January I was nipping to the shop 2-3 times per week, for wine, lager and of course I would get snacks and drinks for my 2 grown up kids(they don't drink much- thank god)!

As well as buying it from the supermarket 1-2 times per week.

I must be saving £40-£80 per week.

    How good is that!!

    Good weekend everyone
    Julie

I think there's soon to be a world shortage of lime and soda!;)

Amazing resolve on here.:T Weekends can be the hardest time so well done those of you determined not to drink this month. Just keep telling yourself all the plus points like better health, more money but mainly that lovely smug feeling of being in control.:)

For those of you who are cutting down then enjoy your weekend drinks, stay in control and get back on the wagon soon.

I'm still totally off the booze:D

    10 AFDs please Shaggy.

There is, none at all in my local supermarket last night :(

Still AF here too, making 11AFDs and SNC completed.

Just back from a mammoth swim (sorry walk) across the fields with the dog. DH & DS at the football so I feel a nice bit of me time coming up. Hot bath then feet up in front of the TV til they come back.

Looking back to the beginning of the thread I have completed more AF days so far than the whole of Jan 2012. If, sorry when I make it to 24 AFDs I will have exceeded my total AFDs for the whole of 2012. That's bloody awful isn't it :o

Well at least you have realised how much better off you are even in the first month Rachel. Well done on the savings warbonnet that's a big incentive.

Can I report 12 AFD please as I won't be drinking tonight. I too am one to drink mainly at the weekends though just recently I have found that I don't need to drink.
